First of all, people claim it's confirmed Ace is getting a spin-off blablabla. I've been too lazy to google it so it might or might not be true.

Second: WHY ACE?! He is literally one of the least interesting character to make a spin-off of.The only thing we really know about him is that he's Luffy 2.0 but a little more serious at times. What's the fun in that? All his developments included Luffy one way or another, him alone would just be utter boredom.

I believe they wasted that opportunity using Ace. There are far better characters out there. A redemption series on Crocodile? Sabo and the Rev's fight against the Govs? Lucci's mafia-like climb in the CP-system? A series on Croc's and Iva's past? A series on the Supernova's would have potential too. Ace is just a shitty character to develop Luffy some more and I'm actually glad he's dead. What do you think?

Yeah personally never cared for his character, I mean he was a cool older brother but mehh. I would also prefer someone like Garp to have a spin off or crocodile would be good too

Maybe its not just because he is popular but we've seen all those characters trying to save Ace in Marineford, so there is a lot to tell. Besides that, he is dead, so the spin off wont affect the currently story.

If you actually read the source in that link, it says there are plans. It doesn't say it's 100% happening.

I am gonna say the following as a neutral person (though I like Ace). These are the FACTS: 1) He is absolutely not needless; 2) He is popular; 3) He is badass; 4) He is cool; 5) He does not deserve to be spitted on his sacrifice; 6) He is interesting, unique and interesting; 7) He is not boring; 8) He definitely didnt lost every battle that mattered, what do you think, what battles made him the Whitebeards third division commander, it would be shown in spin-off.

Why would they even think of doing such.

They are other better characters, why Ace.

@WHITEBEARDPIRATES2 it has only *confirmed* in Japanese in some Shonen Jump, if I recall right, and even then it was said that there was plans.

These articles are made to get more viewers like many other medias make such things nowadays as well, which you should obviously understand ( be critical about the sources of the information ).

As I understood, they made the war, yes, because Ace was one of Whitebeard's *sons*, but also because Whitebeard planned for him to be the next Pirate King, as he thought that he wouldn't pursue such a title and of course Roger's successor should aim for it.

It is all info that we already know, that's why they are creating thins discussion, as they (mainly AuroraOfDeath) have said.
