Hmm.. just what is up with Oda's new chapter releases of One Piece this year? One or two chapters come out in a row and then the story goes on a break for a week or even two, this keeps continuing way too often recently. We get like two chapters per month instead of the usual amount of four. Is Oda running out of plot ideas or why does he put his story on hold so often in short period of time? It's getting really annoying if you have to wait two weeks for a new chapter of a series which is supposed to be on weekly release. If at least we would get a double chapter release every two weeks but no, not even that.

If I remember right he takes regular breaks for health reasons, he's not sick but he's getting older and keeping up his regular work method, which according to various reports is quite intense, takes it's toll physically and mentally so he needs to take more breaks than he did when he was younger.
Christ you people work Oda like a slave. The mans been doing this for like almost two decades give him a break
Allow him to take a break, he not only takes breaks for his health. But also to format the story layout and make sure everything drawn is right especially with this important backstory currently in the manga.
Well it doesn't even matter as the break pay off his content is superb and superb need stable state of mind ...
Oda is giving his best let him take his time.....
Oda maintains an insane schedule rumored to be 12+ hours a day to get out quality One Piece on a weekly basis.
Get off the man’s back, if he wants to take a break let him before he overworks himself to death into a bad health condition to where he produces One Piece even slower.
Also, some of these breaks are either Japanese holidays or the Shounen Jump magazine itself going on break (i.e. not specific to Oda or One Piece), so you can’t even put that on Oda.
