Why do you assume she didn't do those things. You seem to think that after Gimlet got sick she just sat there doing nothing until he died. She did take him to a hospital and he still died.

As for calling him she did that as well but she called the bank because that's where he told her he worked. She was angry at him because she couldn't reach him to tell him that their son had died, she was alone with that for a week with no idea where her husband was because he lied about his job.

Gimlet's death couldn't have been avoided, but her anger at Senor Pink and what happened to her because of it could have been if he'd been honest with her about what he did for a living.

I didn’t think that she took Gimlet to the hospital.. whoopsie but if he HAD been honest to her they wouldn’t have been together I think
