I agree. Why introduce a character of relevance like her if she is going to die in the beginning. Like in different anime shows they significant characters dying early on but reintroduce them, they don’t shine too much light on these characters. Also, in movies and shows, if they don’t show a person actually dying then they’re definitely still alive. Just like in Kuina’s case.

That's not how Law's surgery works. It can't raise the dead, nor can it heal someone, or save them from death.

Kuina and Tashigi aren't the same characters, but Tashigi exists to basically act as I guess a living ghost to Zoro. Reminding him of who his lost. In short, shes just a doppleganger whose meant to foil and test his dedication to Kuina.
