The pacing is fine for me (what I do is keep up with the manga, then every once in a while I binge watch the anime)...

Think about it this way; anime series like One Piece have to add in filler, so they're always a few steps behind the manga. This helps ensure that the manga itself keeps its popularity and readers. If the anime and manga were at the same point un the plot, that might entice viewers to watch the anime with bright fun colours and sound effects and all, instead of the manga itself. However, if the anime is always behind, this'll probably stoke the curiosity of viewers to read ahead in the manga to see what'll happen next.

In other words, the pacing is the way it is so that the manga isn't outshone by the anime. Also so it doesn't go the way of GoT (where the HBO series ended before the final book was even published).

Well, as always, this is just my humble opinion on the matter; take it with a grain of salt..... some people like the manga, some like the anime, some like both... and that's alright. Hope that makes sense...

I think the pace keep the fillers away too ..

Compared to another animes, there are not much fillers

But I particularly dont like the pace...

One Piece is a great history, and a long one

if they keep more like the manga it would be fine too

They should just extend some fights, that would be enought

I love the one piece anime they do SOME stuff better than the manga like the fights 10/10 but I still prefer the manga

The only reason why i love the anime is beause of the journey, smiles, tears, and the experience. it had some great life lessons, plots, and some badass characters, the power system is just amazing and really interesting. whether you watch te anime or read the manga. its still one piece

Yeah the anime makes the funny parts even funnier. But the funny scenes reduce exponentially for later journey, and the amount of time spent on "intense stares" increase a lot, so.... I am seriously considering to transfer to manga....

The only thing I mind was the quality of the animation. It was just so frigid and cold. The flame rate is very bad, and the moment where Toei animation got serious only last for like 5 seconds and it falls right back to the pit.

But I guess thats no longer a problem in the wano act

Pacing is ok imo I enjoy the fillers and all I like to savour it I wouldn't enjoy it if it was main story all the way

I feel that if you love One Piece you will enjoy the anime. BUT - I will say having read the manga as well, the anime is a nice companion to the manga instead of a stand alone show by itself.

The story is there in the anime, however a lot of the feeling is missed in translation mainly due to poor animation quality, in my opinion.

When you’re reading the manga the pacing feels right, I will admit that there are definitely parts in the anime which make it feel like things are dragging between episodes.

Overall Opinion: if you’ve started with the anime and you’ve enjoyed the story to whichever arc you’re currently on and feel like things are starting to drag, pick up the manga where you left off in the anime.

I promise the manga is worth reading!
