I mean do Giraffes and Oxs even have anything in common except for both being mammals. It makes more sense that Kaku's fruit is a Horse Horse fruit model Giraffe. But Ox Ox fruit is just not right. Don't you agree? Weird
It's like calling a jellyfish a octopus. They both lack bones and have tentacles + poisonous body parts. But does that mean they're the same species? No, jellyfishes are fvcking plastic bags with tiny harpoons while octopuses are the only named move that Luffy could use to beat Enel's Mantra. Either way, I think that Oda just had a misunderstanding or something.
The name is "Ushi Ushi no Mi", it refers to all the animals in the even toed ungulates order of animals. Cows and Oxen are simply the most prominent of the order, and also the best translation of the word ushi to english (the word is generally used for cows).
@Dot4447 so basically it's not a simple top of the mind thing. It's got a lot more to do with specification of mammals and damn that deep. I didn't even know something like ungulates existed and there's even and odd type ungulates too. Wow Oda gave that good thought. Thanks for clearing that up for me. But still though Oda should have used a different name instead using a simple name for such a complicated classification.
