"Superior" fruits refer to fruits that are of similar concepts but one is stronger, I think we have a list of them on the devil fruits page on the wiki as well.

Yuki Yuki and Hie Hie, Snow and Ice

Supa Supa, Blades only and all weapons

These can be compared cuz they're the same category but one is clearly stronger, Gomu Gomu and Mochi Mochi come close but still aren't considered here because obviously, Rubber and Mochi are fundamentally different. Similarly, you can just say Zushi is superior to all ancient zoans. But imo, you CAN say that Issho will def show up in Wano cuz of this reasoning, I mean, it would just feel like a missed opportunity if he didn't, wouldn't it?
