This is one of the few theories i actually believe. Especially since Blackbeard said his fruit "chose" him. We learnt that zoan fruits have a will of their own and luffy's fruit also chose him.

It's also a nice parallel, dark god vs sun god.

The only inconsistent thing to me is that BB was stated to never sleep before having the df and he was shown as a kid staring at the moon crying. Either way though, he definitely has a connection to the moon

If youre going to say that his only connection to the moon is his df or its awakening. There's definitely a connection but its not only df related imo

I don't think his df is associated with the moon, it's darkness.
