Why didn't the gura gura no mi regrow?
When you think about it the user of it which was Whitebeard (R.I.P) did in fact die but Blackbeard only took its abilities but if a new fruit is made when the user who ate the fruit died wouldn't that mean theres a Gura Gura no mi somewhere out there because Whitebeard was the one who ate it?

Some theories suggest Blackbeard had some kind of fruit on hand due to the fact a devil fruit reincarnates near the nearest fruit which is how it regrowed cuz a devil fruit has to regrow somehow after the users death.
Well big mom got her devil fruit from eating a devil fruit user so Black Beard method isn't that bizarre.

Why I say that:
The thing is that, eat someone, wouldn't it be the same as Kill someone ?
The user would be killed in the process..
Than, the system would work like: The User got killed - The fruit migrates to the next
The fact that you eat the person, would only be plausible if the "soul of the fruit" just migrates to the canibal person body by acquiring the DNA, not the stomach..
Once you eat a devil fruit, the DNA from the devil fruit will form a new DNA with the user, like stated in the story
The fruit alone would be precessed as another food, so the stomach makes no sense, but the DNA
And during WCI and Wano we got to see more about the Linlin personality, so I don't trust 100% it was acquired by canibalizing Carmel
