Nika was the King of the Ancient Kingdom - the capital of which is modern day Mariejois where Sunlight tree eve is. There he ruled the Lunarians, who used the power of the Sun and Fire to power their machines.

I always wondered if big mom got all her food related devil fruits through kingdoms saving them in case of a famine which leads me to think

Remember the picture Enel was looking at? The sea king at the bottom the boat in the middle and... the sun at the top. Maybe the sun they are talking about is related to an ancient weapon?

@PaperTrades I think you are right. This means that Nika is somehow related to the Sun. Other theoriests say that Imu is the King of the Sun and that his ‘rain of bullets’ is what landed on the Island with Treasure Tree Adam: the sister to the Sunlight tree.

This makes Luffy intricately linked with the Ancient Kingdom and the war 1000 years ago….. hmmmm
