As @Babysharkboss2 said, Denjiro was of one Oden's strongest retainers. Also going head to head with Zoro and being one who along with the other Scabbards, to injure Kaido, I'll say he got this fight in the bag.

I would'nt say he clashed with zolo. denjiro only had one encounter with zoro, he only protected orachi.

Still, Zoro also acknowledged as him being skilled and strong.
