@Rockstar D. Charys not only does it give the user a second chance at life like the Yomi Yomi, its ability to defy physics and reality itself at points is objectively a better power than the ability to control souls, summon the chills of the underworld or turn into a dragon lmfao

But not anybody can awaken that power. Luffy was able to awaken it because its Luffy. He seeks for freedom and likes to free others from oppression as well. The man has what it takes to awaken a fruit like that. Give that fruit to someone like Doflamingo or even Jimbe, do you honestly think these two would be able to go through the same process Luffy went through and eventually awaken the fruit as well? Don't get me wrong, the hito hito fruit model Nika is dope, but its honestly a bit overrated.

Charys it’s implied that the fruit seeks out its consumers due to Zoan-types having wills of their own so I don’t think it’s even fair to suggest hypothetical scenarios but, entertaining it for a minute, what you’re saying is true for every Devil Fruit power. It may be kind of convenient but, for the most part, every current user of a Devil Fruit power that we’ve seen has been the best at using their fruit’s bestowed power throughout recorded history.

Also, on a meta level, Oda deliberately gives those with Devil Fruit powers a power that matches a specific personality trait and/or compliments a skill they have so somebody like Doflamingo could never get his hands on Luffy’s Devil Fruit.

On another note, the only prerequisite we seem to have for awakening the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika is dying lol.
