Its confirmed he attacked the Navy ship and stole the df. It doesn't matter if he knew what it was or not. He attacked unprovoked

@Rockstar D. Charys Roger killed Squard’s crew. Squard was also a pirate. Probably a more evil pirate than Roger, who forbade his crew from even stealing stuff.

Roger is basically just a more aggressive Luffy.

Also when did shanks kill a bunch of marines?

@ASimon24 I wasn't talking about that, I was referring to when he was going to meet Whitebeard and talk about Blackbeard. It was stated the marines tried to interfere for some reason, but Shanks killed every, if not all of the marines that were on the ship.

Anyway, my fav is Aokiji. He seems to be reasonable and definitely has an agenda. Imo he's part of SWORD. He's not hyper aggressive nor is he super casual. He doesnt come across as arrogant or self righteous

Look at it this way, 95% of Marines are good and 95% of pirates are evil, and the last 5% of pirates are not even good, they more 'neutral'. Garp even said that Roger went on tantrums that destroyed entire towns (when a crewmember was 'offended'), do you think people went: "yeah, the house I worked for my entire life is destroyed but at least Roger is happy!"
