Hi everyone;

I wanted to take this opportunity to clarify a few of the rules here around how you can talk to others:

Swearing and cursing are allowed here; however; to swear at another user is completely unacceptable. The difference is to swear at another user is insulting, rude, and makes the wiki an unpleasant place for people to discuss things. It’s not so much the words themselves, but the intent behind the words that’s important to us moderators. The crude language only escalates the underlying guideline violation that was already there. So if you call someone an ”idiot” you’ll be banned. If you call someone “a fucking idiot” you might be banned longer, depending on the context, previous violations, etc.

Next thing to say is that any and all homophobic, racist, pornographic or otherwise offensive content is not allowed on this platform. And when I say platform, I mean not only the One Piece Wiki, but anywhere on the Fandom network, which is stated in their Terms of Service. Fandom takes this seriously and repeated violations of their Terms of Service could result in not only a wiki ban, but a ban across all Fandom sites.

Here‘s a short list of very specific things I want to mention that are not allowed:

• Calling any user, character, etc “gay” or using that word as a slur.

• Using the phrase “dick riding” in any context.

• Any and all content related to the popular, but highly offensive “Zoro is racist” memes.

• I may edit this to include more in the coming days.

To be clear, I am not looking to go around banning everything that moves. I love this wiki, and I hate to see this discussion section filled with so much hate and negativity. The moderators and I will be warning people in most cases before they’re banned (check your user talk pages if your comments/posts get deleted, we might reach out to you there). If you do break the rules, and your response to the moderators is to argue, it’s probably not going to go well for you. If you understand where we’re coming from and change your behavior, you’ll probably never be banned.
