I was staying he went all out, not that that was his strongest move. If Luffy goes G5 with Advanced Haki active that's all out, that doesn't mean he is using his Bajarang Gun which is his strongest Named Attack to date. He still isn't holding back. I'm saying Shanks wasn't holding back and was indeed going all out, he wasn't necisarily using the most powerful attack he has but still

I dont think shanks was going all out, clearly he was doing what he needed based on the future he seen.

It definitely was more of a friendly rivalry than death battle clearly. I only assume mohawk has better future sight because of his epithet and his unique eyes. But clearly his conquerors haki or lack there of is a disadvantage.

At this point it'd be pretty stupid of Oda if he somehow reveals anything indicative of either Shanks or Mihawk is above each other, even if his series ends or he's retiring.

What is that second paragraph? What? Shanks looked 10 seconds into the future(Kid clearly indicated it would take 10 seconds, that wasn't random dialogue), that's the limit for now but he can probably see further

Except if you look at both Mihawk and Shanks you'll see they aren't the "fight for fun" kind of people, they dueled, probably multiple times, to establish who is stronger, and the result hasn't been said but come on, who has the strongest swordsman title

Shanks looked in the future and saw his fleet being dumpstered, and he destroyed Kid

This seems like a serious Shanks to me, who probably overkilled Kid to protect his fleet, he went serious just to not leave Kid a chance to fight back, my man KO'd 90% of Kid's crew(including captain and vice captain) with 1 move

Mihawk used his smallest blade because:

1. He knew for a fact he was leagues above Zoro(while Shanks didn't know Kid's real power)

2. He didn't have a fleet in danger

Well, for starters, I think it’s safe to say that Mihawk is a Conqueror. It may be kind of roundabout to say but the fact that Zoro’s one and Mihawk IS his ambition all but confirms it — for me, at least. Of course, Oda could always shut me up by saying that he isn’t one but I feel like it’s impossible to be what is essentially the king of swordsmen and not have Conqueror’s Haki. 

Secondly, even if he isn’t one, I don’t think this really makes his rivalry with Shanks questionable; Mihawk is the World’s Greatest/Strongest Swordsman, not person — Shanks can be more powerful than him in general but still not be able to surpass him when it comes to swordplay, even when he had both arms. This idea that we need to take every single ability a person has into account for a sword duel kinda falls apart when you remember that Big Mom, who has/had Devil Fruit Powers, Conqueror’s Haki and knowledge of how to use the techniques of the Giants, is/was a swordsman as well and, yet, has never been a contender for World’s Greatest/Strongest Swordsman.
