The true history and meaning of "D"

With the recent chapters and information that has came out, I think it's become fairly obvious that despite everything that's been revealed, there's still much more that needs to be confirmed.

One obvious one is Shank's origin. Clearly he is of world noble blood, but obviously there's more to it than that. Shanks has intentionally been shrouded in mystery, and it seems there is two very clear connections formed with him. The first is the most obvious and the one that's recently been hinted at, and that's his connection to the celestial dragons and God's valley.. and the second one is his connection to those that are in the "D" clan.

Obviously, there's many things to go over with all that, but all I have to say about that is.. clearly he has some kind of deeper goal in mind. But the other obvious point to bring up is.. queen lily. Recently confirmed to be a possible progenitor of "D" clan members, and with her originally being chosen to be a celestial dragon, I think it might be very possible that the "D" members are in fact.. "Fallen angels".. They have all the same "powers" that celestial dragons seem to possess (such as conquerer's haki), but unlike modern day celestial dragons, they face hard ships so actually train themselves to utilize these abilities.

There's two main groups we've seen that have shown utilizing conquerer's haki more than other groups, and that's D clan members and Celestial dragon's that have actually had to take part in warfare. Now as far as what makes Shank's so noteworthy is that not only is he a celestial dragon (from his mother's side, Figarland Garling being such a racist a****le reminds me of a racist father hating that his daughter fell in love with someone of an ethnicity he despises..), but he is also a "D" clan member, with his father being Rocks D. Xebec. (Him being a Figarland is apparently public knowledge, after all, one can't deny ones mother, but he apparently kept his father's identity secret.. and for good reason.)

Honestly, it sounds alot like a forbidden love story (like romeo and juliet), but with Garling learning of what happened and seeing the potential his grandson had, he killed his daughter and tried to keep him "safe" from Rocks, and that started the war on God valley..

Doflamingo comes to mind. Tbh them having the capability to do so comes to mind because they're "gods" and it's said to be attributed to "kings". But over hundreds of years even though most of them can use it, none of them ever come across a need to use it. (Also I feel the kozuki clan is connected to this somewhere)

It’s attributed to people with “kingly qualities” or ambitions.

None of the Celestial Dragons have that.

It's stated that the ability to use it is something they're born with. All the cd's are descendents of kings (as are according to my assumption all the members of the d clan). That's WHY most of them never awaken it. That also explains why most of the normal population is unable to (generally only those born of royal bloodlines.) There isn't many instances of celestial dragons leaving the red line, but in the instances theyve been shown to (granted it could be a sampling error), there's more of a chance that they awaken it. Especially in regards to the average population.

My point being that almost every instance of the conquerors haki being used it's usually traced back to either will of d members or royalty. Obviously the biggest bloc of royalty is the celestial dragons because they all descended from previous kings. Tbh I think that's why imu structured the world as he did because too many people using conquerors haki interferes with his plans or power. The cd's are kept and pampered as they are to halt there growth, because there's no adversity or need to utilize it. It was lily's desire to "grow in her own way" that infuriated IMU. But since she understood she couldn't return home for fear of endangering alabasta, she founded Amazon lily (hence the name.) And of course Hancock being her descendant, inherited conquerors haki from her directly. (Ironically forcing her to later considering to do the exact same thing queen lily did).

This actually speaks perfectly to the story, specifically that hardships makes one stronger and that one should always pursue freedom.

The only other group that has a statistical high number of conquerors haki users is orphans, which in retrospect can easily be traced to bastard royalty and/or deposed royal bloodlines. Honestly with everything that's been revealed and confirmed as of late, this explanation makes the most sense.. though I will say this can entirely be wrong, after all one piece isn't known for following real world logic. However, I must say that for now at least, this makes the most sense.. (and also a desire to be a king alone isn't a good explanation, because of course there's shanks, and the countless other "kings" that don't have conquerors haki )
