@A Professional Idiot mk.2 I doubt hes dead, But yeah hes heavily injured, Hes a Nami victim currently. Once hes healed he will be back to his strength but weaker since he is old. Garp during his prime or during the god valley incident was stronger then Kaido I think.

I like Koby just as much as the next guy but to say he surpassed Garp with a weaker version of galaxy impact is just wild.
