Emmy I wounldn't really do it with a plan luffy doesn't usually have a plan and he turned out right, and if I wanted to I'd join a good crew and make my own, my dream would still be to have a devil fruit but gains, I'd just be for fun.

Heck I remember making a very accurate normal person in the world of the one piece where his devil fruit was literally a bird bird fruit model parrot he had the strength of a normal person so he wasn't really a threat but I wanted to make him enjoyable either you're strong through strength or you're strong through comedic luck and no one me I think I'd have better options going through the second one
