I agree he did catch him off guard. But once he was caught Queen had him dead to rights. And Simon wanted proof that there was a moment where Queen looked like a real threat to Sanji. There it is.

@ASimon24 I more or less feel the same about Queen. You would think a veteran new world pirate like Queen would have seen a move like Soru before. Yet in both chapter 1031 and 1034 he’s caught off guard by Sanji display of it. Like you I feel like Jack has better feats than Queen.
