The Shika Shika no Mi, Model: Wendigo is a physically powerful Mythical Carnivorous Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows its user to turn into a Wendigo or Wendigo-human hybrid. Due to its status as a Carnivorous Zoan, alongside having mystical powers, it has immense physical strength and speed. Surely you've heard of the popular theory that Devil Fruits have a mind of their own, yes? Well, this fruit is a prime piece of evidence for that theory, even prior to consumption. Not only that, but it is considered to be incredibly malicious in its intent. Post-consumption, the user may wake up from slumber having done things that they don't remember, transform unwillingly, and must make a bargain of some sort with the Fruit in order to willingly assume a Hybrid form. Upon transformation into their Full Beast Form, the user's skin will turn pitch-black, they will grow massively in height (from 5ft to 9ft is the only recorded reference) and their head will shift to look like a deer skull with large, sharp antlers. Their body will lose all subcutaneous tissue and the user will become incredibly hungry, growing gaunt and emaciated. Their hands will grow much larger proportionately with razor sharp claws, along with their teeth growing into abnormally large, sharp fangs. When in Full Beast Form, the user will go into a sort of "semi-conscious haze" as the current user describes it, in which they will lose most control over their body. A separate personality, presumed to be the consciousness within the Fruit itself, will then take over and seek out any meat-based lifeform to consume. It should be noted that the creature will actively seek out LIVING meat, and, if it can, will avoid cooked or even raw meat that has already been separated from the body of its donor. While in this form, the user is so strong that nothing short of Seastone shackles will hold it down, though exposure to this would hurt testing potential as it keeps the Fruit dormant for a few days. Strangely enough, the Fruit can still be utilized only a few hours after exposure to Seastone, but the user will not transform unwillingly for a few days as aforementioned. If the user can overcome the urge to eat and kill, then that has been described as "Step One" of getting the fruit to "behave". If they lose, however, it has been recorded that the Fruit will likely kill and consume any living, moving lifeform that it can find. The Full Beast Form's strength has been shown to scale with the User's hunger and the amount of meat consumed. If, in this form, the user becomes satiated (which is very unlikely), runs out of energy, is exposed to Seastone, or is otherwise incapacitated, then they will fall unconscious and turn back into their Human form. On multiple instances, the user was provided a Rumble Ball. This immediately induces an unwilling transformation. Despite being put into many circumstances where other, unknown changes would most likely be necessary, only three "Points" have been observed. They are as follows:
- Maw Point, which gives the user the bottom half of the deer skull's jaw. Its bite force grows to unknown strength, as nothing is known (besides seastone) that it cannot bite through. Though we must assume within reason. This Point also allows the user to secrete acidic venom through their saliva.
- Dash Point, which allows the user short bursts of absurd speed and grows the user's legs while shrinking their body in compensation. This is seemingly used for chasing down prey and dodging attacks such as firearms and other Devil Fruit users.
- Strength Point, which massively increases the user's strength, allowing them to easily smash through machinery and even the armor on warships.
This Fruit awakens once the user completes the aforementioned bargain with the consciousness within it. The precise terms of this bargain are unknown. Upon completion, the user loses the ability to assume their Full Beast Form. In turn, they very rarely transform unwillingly. As a result, the user can only use their Hybrid form. This is always the case unless (according to the user herself), the consciousness has permission. These circumstances are the only ones under which a post-Awakening Full Beast Form for this Fruit has been recorded. Said Hybrid form is weaker but quicker, drastically darken's the user's skin rather than making it purely black, and prevents the user from growing incredibly gaunt, unlike the Full Beast Form. Most of the other changes are simply halved, such as with height (from 5ft to 7ft is the only recorded reference). All Points from a Rumble Ball, all of which were aforementioned, can also be assumed upon consumption of a Rumble Ball. It is also notable to mention that Rumble Balls no longer induce unwilling transformation.
