This is something I just realized but people usually refer to Smoothie as BM YC2 but nowhere is that stated in the series. With Kaido his commanders are ranked on card names: King > Queen > Jack and WB has his commanders referred to as first or second division commanders. But with BM her top 3 Katakuri, Smoothie and Cracker are just called the generals. The only thing we know is that Kata is the strongest which puts him as BM first mate but how did the fandom decide Cracker was the YC3 and Smoothie was the YC2?

Well most of us figured she was number 2 do to a combination of her bounty,DF powers,and the way she’s been portrayed. Plus,when Luffy arrived at WCI BM sent Cracker to deal with him. 😎

I mean…I wouldn’t say nothing. That aside she’s been shown to be slightly more important than Cracker at least since he was also sent to deal with that monk pirate who beat snack.

Ok the reason I asked this is because there was a similar discussion on reddit and someone stated YC 1-4 for any crew apart from WB is just headcanon from the fanbase.

Ok the reason why i say Smoothie is YC2 of the BM is that i think that smoothie can beat Cracker in a fight
The idea of YC1+ being headcanon doesn’t really work because every crew has an established number 2 and that’s always the captain’s 1st Commander; Katakuri is second only to their mother, King is only second to Kaido, etc.
This suggests that anyone considered a commander is ranked, hence YC1, YC2, YC3 and, in some cases, YC4.
