And yeah, there’s those other characters, which is why I said arguably.

Any one of them could be said to be the strongest currently.

• Shanks has been hyped up the whole series and is the last of the original Yonko

• Mihawk is the world’s strongest swordsman and the main firepower behind Cross Guild

• Blackbeard is one of the final villains and the lord of offscreen fights

• Akainu was stated to be the strongest marine in history (though that’s from a debatably official source); Akainu also was stated to have made the Marines stronger than ever. Which includes when they had Prime Garp and Sengoku. Which makes it very likely that Akainu has surpassed them both.

• And Dragon is featless, and hasn’t really had much hype built around him personally. I’d say that Sabo has been hyped up more than him. Like obviously he’s gonna be strong, but I don’t think he’ll be quite as strong as the others here, maybe around the level of current G5 Luffy but without the time limit?

Kaido extreme diff, Akainu is top tier along with him. But lowk we need to see fleet admiral him NOT IN A. DAMN DESK FOR GODS SAKE.
