At first it used to Robin backstory, but Hancock past taken me by surprise by how heavy it was at the time I watched amazon lily arc because sudden heavy topic in the middle of what I expect comedic arc

Chopper’s for me. He essentially killed his mentor with his own incompetence, and has to live with that every day. Poor baby!

I really would´ve picked them all if I could, so I had to decide on the span of the disaster.

Robin= 26 years

Hancock= 4 years

Sanji= around 8 years

Yamato= around 26 years

Law = around 6 years

Nami= around 14 years

And because I like Robin better than Yamato, she got my point.

I haven’t got to Laws, Sanjis (Whole cake arc), or Yamatos backstory/childhood. So for me its Nami, her mother was killed right in front her, joined/forced to join the crew of her mother’s killer, had to steal and be a thief to pay to have her village back, etc. So err Yeah.

Law has the saddest backstory

I was torn between Robin and Nami but decided on Nami because when I look back after I watched her part that's what REALLY made me continue to watch One Piece
