Yeah but they're still affiliated to the World Government. Dressrosa doesn't have a bad relationship with the Marines at all. Arabasta is most likely going to defect the World Government since the kingdom's ruler is being chased by the King of the World.

Didn’t stop fish man island from doing it, so don’t see why the others wouldn’t. Sorry,I didn’t mean they have a bad or antagonist relationship with the marines just that Luffy is probably more liked and well received compared to the marines. I agree,Vivi is definitely going to defect her kingdom from the WG once she gets back home.

The Fish-Man Island accepted to be under the Emperors' protection because they needed it to keep order, since the Marines and WG agents couldn't reach them so easy. Dressrosa is close to many Marine bases (at least I guess, since there were 3 ships arriving at the island by the time Fujitora went there).

Makes sense,but they were/are still affiliated with the World Government while accepting the Yonko protection. Dressrosa could do the same thing if they wanted(granted they’d probably have to be even more secretive about it). They already (secretly)root for the Straw Hats anyway so Luffy should be able to put them under his flag.

When the Straw Hats left Arabasta, Nami interrupted Luffy to bid a proper farewell to Vivi, saying that being associated to them would get her in trouble.

Jinbe, despite being responsible for the Fish-Man Island being protected by Big Mom, didn't like to enter there since it's a World Government territory despite having an Emperor's flag.

I think that Ryugu Kingdom is an exception due to its extraordinary geography.

Then they would just have to break off their connections to the WG and plant Luffy flag if they want to be super public about it. Fish man island(unless I’m misremembering something) wasn’t super public about their affiliations with the Yonkos. So that’s part of the reason they could do it.

They literally have the flags of their protectors flying in public places throughout the kingdom.

@Httpedrokkk That’s my bad,I should have clarified better. By Super public I meant more on a global scale. Not that no one at all knew(like NW pirates,other Yonko,and the people who lived there).
