Personally, I feel like she would be the Lookout, the one who stays in the Crow's nest and keeps an eye out for any danger ahead.

For theory’s sake, let’s pretend Carrot is declared the 10th crew member. Where do you think she ranks behind Luffy, Zoro, Sanji as 1,2,3 respectively?

So thoughts on the latest chapter.

As I expected for a long time, Carrot's chances of joining the SH are sadly pretty much dust now, and Yamato being the next newcomer is only a matter of time.

But thats alright, I'm now more interested on whether we get more future SH members beyond the initial "at least ten members statement" or not. I try not to be too hopeful, but for awhile now I believe that may be the case.

Luffy making the same promise as Ace to Tama was kinda expected but still very sweet, I'm all for her joining in the distant future.😊 And holy heck, good for Shinobu for getting to be hot again.😍👍

I never get tired of seeing Luffy, Kid and Law arguing like little kids,😆 and once again Buggy steals the show taking two ex-Warlords "under his wing" like a boss lol (and quite the timing too, considering tomorrow is his birthday). Next thing you know Buggy will sit on the Empty Throne and become the World's King lol.😅😏 Seriously though I'm very curious to know everything that happened that lead up to Cross Guild.

Overall a good chapter. Any thoughts?

Yamato and Carrot should both join in my opinion

So here is something I have been thinking about: Yamato & Carrot becoming the new Straw Hats. For a while know I been thinking that it would be official they going to join the crew. As time passes though I’m not being so sure on it anymore. So with Carrot, she has been traveling with the crew for a while now & well it’s pretty clear she fits the dynamic of the crew. I would love for her to join because of that & also her Sulong Form is respectable, although it’s only at night or in a full moon. She also may want to take on Pedro’s will & travel with the future Pirate King like Pedro wanted to do with Roger. So this is why I believe she would join the crew. So with Yamato, it’s kind of more obvious & hinted at her joining/traveling with the crew since she is the embodiment of Oden. She wants to be free & set sail & just go on an adventure pretty much. I was 100% sure she would join because of her connection with Ace & also she claimed she going to sail with Luffy in her fight vs Kaido. So the reason I’m unsure about Carrot & Yamato joining now is because of the current war in Wano. Zou & Wano will both be real low in terms of manpower & they would definitely need Carrot & Yamato because of that. It wouldn’t seem right for them to join when the state of their countries would be bad after this war. Especially Wano because Yamato plans to open the borders (although there’s no real reason why) & it would be open for big players like Blackbeard or the WG to invade it… also with the reveal of Yamato’s DF serving the purpose of protecting Wano itself, I’m definitely not 100% sure anymore on them joining.

*Jinbei: NO LONGER A POSSIBLE crew member but the first crew member of the New World. Helmsman- will probably work along Franky Nami and Ussop taking care of the sunny, help Luffy Robin Franky Yamato Law and Smoker in figuring out the secrets of the One Piece true history ancient weapons Joy Boy/Sun God Will of D and corruption of the world Government, and help Luffy Zoro Sanji Yamato Law and Smoker with the toughest battles. Fishman and former Sun Pirate along with ties to One Piece lore such as the Sun God and the Fishman history which included slavery with a dream of uniting fishmen and humans. A former rival of Ace and crew member to Arlong who terrorized Nami as well as Big Mom pirate. Former warlord and ally to Luffy through multiple arcs. Very strong with fishman Karate style water manipulation moves and Haki.

Yamato: Second (self declared) crew member of the New World! Daughter/son of Kaido and friend of Ace. Self declared Oden and keeper of his Log Book. Position- unknown but may be revealed later but will probably record the rest of the crews journey and be a combat specialist. Assists and accompanies Luffy in the current arc. Was beaten and imprisoned by her father most of her life. Her dream could be to accompany the brother Ace told her about, the one she thinks is who Oden waited and wrote about and have the same adventure as Oden. Very very strong using a club zoan-like devil fruit and Haki.

Law: Currently allied with Luffy but a possible new member of the crew. Former member of Donflamingo’s crew supernova then warlord and captain of the Heart Pirates. Was orphaned twice diseased and chased after and lost his only friend as a child. Position- unknown but can be revealed later but possibly doctor/surgeon, team-leader, strategist, and/or combat specialist. He has assisted Luffy through multiple arcs, a movie, and a side arc. Has been called Luffy’s crew member and has grown into an honorary member of the crew. His dream is to find the truth behind the Will of D. Very very strong with the Ope Ope devil fruit a large sword and Haki.

Carrot: Current temporary and possibly permanent crew member. Mink tribe musketeer and former pupil of Pedro. Position- unknown but most likely the lookout. She is loved by the crew and has accompanied them through multiple arcs and side arcs. Her dream could be to travel the world along with the ones who will bring the New Dawn. Strong fighter using Mink electric martial arts and the ability to control her Soulong form.

Smoker: Current MARINE vice admiral who (unlike marines such as Sabo & Hellmepo, Grount Bingham & Zappa, Fullbody & Jango) is a main character who’s future in the marines is not set in stone, with strength to rival a straw hat, and a big purpose in the series. He watched the execution of Gol D Roger, was thwarted by Monkey D Dragon, and is friends with Kuzan (also possibly a high ranking member of Sword). Position- unknown but some possibilities could be strategist, trainer, team-leader, or combat specialist. His dream could be to obtain true justice and rid the World Government of corruption. He is Tashigi’s superior and the leader of G-5. He has chased the straw hats since Logue Town but has also allied with them on multiple occasions such as during Punk Hazard and fighting Bullet. Very strong smoke logia and haki user with a sea prism baton.

New members not yet introduced yet in the story are also possible but may or may not be more likely than ones already introduced.

Very honorable mentions: Caesar Clown, Kinemon, Bartolommeo, Mr. 2 Bon Clay, Tashigi, Lily Enstomach, Vivi (possibly with Karoo), X Drake, Jewelry Bonney, Bege, Urouge, Katakuri, Crocodile (unlikely with Mr. 1), Boa Hancock, Enel.

Honorable mentions: Bellamy, Buggy, Hatchan, Foxy, Viola, Rebbeca, Mr. 3 Galdino, Shuraiya Bascùd, Johnny & Yosaku, Carina, Pandaman, Ohm & Wyper, Desire, Aisa, Ann & Balloon & Silk, Masked Deuce, Isuka.

Apprentices: Tama & Momo: Both very likely choices, especially Otama due to her promise with Ace and since Momo has his duty to be Oden and retainers that may want to stick by his side wherever he goes he is less likely. Both have potentially powerful devil fruits, strive to be great warriors, accompanied the straw hats in battles, and share love with the entire crew.

New apprentices not yet introduced are also possible and more likely than ones already introduced.

So......

Who will it be? Personally, Im all in for Yamato considering her desire to join as well as her fighting capabilities. Her strive to becoming like Kozuki Oden would make her a good addition as Oden himself sailed with Roger.

On the other hand, Carrot was at first a great addition to the Straw Hats during Whole Cake Island but in all honesty, she didnt really do that much. Characters like Usopp and Nami have their unique assets which makes up some interesting fight scenes but i dont see Carrot doing that. In terms of usefulness, Yamato is way better as just look at how she takes on KAIDO to buy time for Luffy.

So lets explore another possibility. What if they BOTH joined. Now, immediatley, im doubtful that will happen as it doesnt make sense for two memebers to join off the bat just like that. Furthermore, i belive that the next nakama will be the final, as Luffys '10 crewmates' quota wouldve been fulfilled. Secondly, about 50-60% of the New World has been covered (if we consider it to be almost as long as Paradise). And considering how slow recruitments are post timeskip, i think that our next crewmate would probably be the last.

Anyways, im up to see what yall think so feel free to disagree.
