Thank You
Good afternoon, One Piece Wiki!
Since our next chapter, Chapter 1114, will be coming out next week, I have once again updated the three final arcs and their descriptions:
Elbaf Arc: After escaping the destruction of Egghead Island via Buster Call (and later, the Mother Flame), the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies host a funeral for Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates, who sacrificed themselves to buy Luffy and his friends can escape to Elbaf where they can rest from their involvement in the Egghead Incident. While the crew rests in Elbaf for recovery and repairs, Sabo arrives at Elbaf to talk to Luffy and Vivi about the Will of D., as requested by Nefertari Cobra. Meanwhile, Vivi is informed by her Royal Guards and Alabasta Palace Staff that she is now wanted for her involvement in helping the Straw Hat Pirates escape under the title of "Spy Princess Nefertari Vivi" despite staying with Morgans and Wapol.
Laugh Tale Arc: Having fully recovered with their ship fully repaired, along with a permanently recruited Vivi as their full-fledged diplomat (as well as Vivi's pet duck Karoo as the crew's mascot), the Straw Hat Pirates finally set out to Laugh Tale, a place where Luffy's now deceased role model, Shanks, told them where the One Piece is in his last words before he dies peacefully along with his Red Hair Pirate crew. There, they must face off against the Blackbeard Pirates and the Cross Guild in a race over who claims the One Piece—Luffy, Teach or Buggy.
Mary Geoise Arc (the last arc of the Final Saga, as well as the final arc of the whole manga series itself, also known as the "Final War Arc"): With the One Piece (the legendary treasure itself that actually looks like a sword—the one weapon that can harm Imu and the Five Elders with) in their hands, the Straw Hat Pirates march their way to Mary Geoise for the ultimate fight to determine the fate of the world as the devastating global war between the forces of good and evil is finally underway. There, they must face off against the omnicidal Imu, who seeks to destroy all life in the world (all which he deems inferior) using the Mother Flame, and then recreate the world in his own image from scratch (as a world of darkness)—with Vivi as his better half.
And now, here are some predictions from Chapter 1113 and beyond:
Before Marcus Mars, one of the Five Elders, can try to stop Vegapunk's public broadcast before it finishes, Shanks arrives and wards him off from the Labophase with his Haoshoku Haki, convincing him to let the broadcast finish. Mars agrees on one condition that Vegapunk completely dies after the public broadcast so that the World Government can finish the Buster Call with the Mother Flame (which Imu ultimately approves despite his secret being revealed to the public). Then, Vegapunk ultimately dies peacefully from his wounds after succeeding in publicly broadcasting his entire message to the whole world about the Void Century (so says his final words to Shanks before passing away: "It doesn't matter anymore, Shanks. I am already dead."), allowing Shanks, who have recently arrived with his crew just in time to stop the Buster Call on Egghead Island, to bury him. With Vegapunk finally dead, the Five Elders announce, "Vegapunk is finished!", and order their Marine Fleet to finish the Buster Call on Egghead Island with the Mother Flame (an operation approved by Imu). This is the first Buster Call that successfully destroyed an island (i.e. Egghead Island via Mother Flame) after the last one failed on Enies Lobby two years ago, and the one before that partially succeeded on Ohara twenty-two years ago (so says the quote from the Five Elders: "As long as the World Government has been compromised of its most precious secrets—Vegapunk should not have studied the Void Century and revealed it to the world through public broadcast; Bartholomew Kuma should not have possessed the blood of the Buccaneers; even the Straw Hat Pirates should not have awakened the ancient god Nika. And as for Egghead Island...it never existed in the first place.").
Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates finally face off against the Five Elders (in the stead of Luffy, Dorry and Brogy) to inform them to stop the Buster Call on Egghead Island while accusing them of the death of Dr. Vegapunk (so says the quote from Shanks: "You have spilled the blood of the innocent. Explain your actions!"). However, when the Five Elders refuse to stop the Buster Call, implying that all life on Earth is inferior according to Imu and must "cease to exist", the Red Hair Pirates try to stop the Buster Call themselves, only to sacrifice themselves by getting themselves killed by the Mother Flame in the process, buying the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies enough time to escape to Elbaf where they will be safe from harm.
Before dying, Shanks tells Luffy that the legendary treasure, the One Piece, is left in Laugh Tale by Gol D. Roger, and Luffy, determined to turn the tide of the coming global war, agrees to find it there once he and his crew recover from the Egghead Incident.
After escaping from the World Government and its supreme leader, Imu, Nefertari Vivi comes out of hiding (after sneaking into the Iron Giant which she pilots after hearing Luffy's Drums of Liberation that activated Gear 5) and finally reunites with the Straw Hat Pirate crew to rescue them during their escape from Egghead Island by officially swearing her full allegiance to them as their official permanent diplomat (the tenth and final person to join Luffy's crew), having already learned about the death of her father, Nefertari Cobra (so says the quote from Luffy in reaction to Vivi's return to the Straw Hat Pirate crew as their permanent member: "SHE'S ALIVE!!!"). As the Straw Hats later rest in Elbaf, Vivi gets her first official wanted poster with a bounty of thirty million berries for helping the crew escape from Egghead Island under the new title of "Spy Princess Nefertari Vivi". Karoo, Vivi's pet duck, also joins the Straw Hat Pirates as their permanent mascot (under the title of "Mascot Karoo" with a bounty of fifty berries) after Chopper temporarily took the role of the Straw Hat Pirates' mascot over the last two years.
Franky finally gets a new wanted poster depicting his face after the last ones depicted the General Franky and the Thousand Sunny instead.
In the anime adaptation of Shanks' funeral scene, Brook plays "Amazing Grace" on bagpipes during the funeral for Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates.
In the anime adaptation of Shanks' and the Red Hair Pirates' funeral scene (during its climax), we look back at Luffy's past with Shanks from 12 years ago (including the scene where Luffy stabbed himself in his left cheek) once again.
The Kuja Pirates, the Giant Warrior Pirates, and the Bonney Pirates become the newest additions to the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, with their captains, Boa Hancock, Dorry, Brogy and Jewelry Bonney, taking their roles as their representatives.
The full character design of Imu is similar to Gargoyle from Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. This, as well as, on the other hand, his face would be a tribute to the late manga artist Akira Toriyama, who was lost to us all at the start of March.
In the finale, Luffy ultimately becomes King of the Pirates after finally defeating and destroying Imu with the Gomu Gomu no Flaming Sword using the One Piece while in his "Gear 5" form, along with not only the dreams of his friends coming true, but also Boa Hancock becoming Luffy's wife under the title of "Queen of the Pirates", even Buggy, Crocodile and Mihawk, as well as the Teach and his Blackbeard Pirates, surrender to Luffy as their new Pirate King. Soon, all the pirates across the globe, including the entirety of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet (as well as the rest of the world), gather to hail Luffy their new king for saving the world from Imu.
The epilogue of "One Piece" is set to a year later after the One Piece is claimed by Luffy and his friends to defeat Imu with, where the Straw Hat Pirates (now consisting of Pirate King and captain Luffy, Pirate Queen and first mate Hancock, swordsman Zoro, navigator Nami, sniper Usopp, cook Sanji, doctor Chopper, archeologist Robin, shipwright Franky, musician Brook, helmsman Jinbe, diplomat Vivi and mascot Karoo) stop a robbery at a local village (possibly Foosha Village or Loguetown) committed by a gang of Mountain Bandits.
So, what do you think of my updated predictions for the final three arcs for this manga series? Please let me know on the comments below.
Until then, take care of yourselves and each other.
