Edward Weevil

What do you guys think happened to Edward “Whitebeard Jr.” Weevil? His mother is Buckingham Stussy and she claims that Weevil is Whitebeard’s son. I don’t think he’s been seen since after the Dressrosa Arc. What do you think happened to him? What do you think he’s doing?

I think Weevil is the man with the burn scar.

Miss Buckin claiming that Vegapunk could prove Weevil's kinship to Whitebeard adds support to the theory he is a failed Whitebeard clone.

She herself was successfully cloned by MADS which she was part of. And was a Rocks Pirate meaning she had access to Whitbeard's bloodline elements.

If Weevil is a clone of Whitebeard he could have his memories which would be significant.

The last road ponelgyph was originally located on Fish-Man Island.

Which was previously under the protection of Whitbeard who Roger revealed some of the secrets of the world to. I think it's very possible he knew the last road ponelgyph was there meaning Weevil could too.

Since Weevil was captured by Greenbull there is a theory he will get a glow up.

Which would be a cool callback to this scene. But I think Weevil is a character that was already introduced.

I think Weevil is Kadar a rear admiral that fought the Sun Pirates. I think there is a mystery around since his ship was sunk even though Fisher Tiger promised to let him go.

Shiryu speculates that the man with the burn scar is a government man. Laffitte that he is a power user, since he rides in an all-black ship that swallows enemy ships in gigantic vortex if they wander to close. Kadar is a marine and his ship was sunk.

I think Kizaru is another hint, he took the reports for Kadar and Weevil which I think links the two.

Again I don't think the Sun Pirates sunk Kadar's ship. Fisher Tiger berated Arlong and JInbe for going too far. Arlong said he only killed one or two people.

I think Weevil ate the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Umibozu. The umibozu is a yokai that takes the form of a monk that sinks ships. The umibozu was mentioned a few times.

Similar to Onyudo (Wadatsumi's epithet was Onyudo) before it appeared as a human zoan fruit.

I think Weevil awakened and his zoan powers consumed his mind which is why he is simple minded like the Jailer Beasts.

It think Weevil will regain mind utilizing powerful haki.

If my theory is true I think Weevil got disillusioned with the marines like Diez Barrels, went awol and sunk his own ship.

I think he Awakened in Wano. His neck scar looks like it could have been inflicted by Queen's collar. Apparently body parts can be reattached in Wano and Weevil's arm looks reattached.

I think Kaido tried to recruit him to army so sent him to the Prisoner Mine to break his spirit but he escaped.

I think Weevil's burn scar will be on his back where Whitebeard had his Jolly Roger tattooed.

No one in One Piece believes Weevil's claims of being the biological son of Whitebeard. But there is debate about it amongst us fans, one theory is that Weevil is a failed clone of Whitebeard.

This theory has been bolstered by Miss Buckin's claim that Vegapunk can prove that Weevil is related to Whitebeard.

It is heavily implied that Miss Buckin was a part of MADS. And she was in the Rock Pirates with Whitebeard. so could of taken a sample of his bloodline elements.

She herself was successfully cloned by MADS. One hole in the theory is that Weevil has a different blood type from Whitebeard but is the same as Miss Buckin.

I think Weevil is a male clone of Miss Buckin that was augmented with the bloodline elements of Whitebeard and Rocks D. Xebec.

With cloning becoming more prominent in the story there has been theories of Blackbeard being a clone of Rocks. Since he is Luffy's dark parallel I think he just has a similar personality. This wouldn't be the first time a character claiming Whitebeard as his father turned out to have an even more significant biological father.

The Seraphim are proof that clones can be spliced with other bloodline elements.

It was confirmed that their Lunarian genes came from the blood of King

Vegapunk has the ability to change the gender of clones.

Because of Weevil's proclaimed connection to Whitebeard and protecting his home town. I think the sphinxs from Sphinx Island are also foreshadowing that Weevil has several bloodline elements since they are chimeras.

Dream Koi from Wano ended up being foreshadowing that Kaido was a fish dragon zoan.

I think this will become significant in the story because it was hypothesize by Pythagoras that clones have the memories of the originals. So if my theory is true then Weevil has the memories of Rocks.

I have a theory that Weevil is Rear Admiral Kadar.

He was recently captured by Aramaki and I think his his true identity will be revealed.

Aramaki has the ability to drain liquid from a human body. And was able to return Shinobu to how she looked 20 years ago. I think he will do the same to Weevil.

I think Weevil's scars hint that he was in Wano. The scar around his neck seems like it could have been inflicted by Queen's collar.

And the scar on his left arm looks like it could have been severed. The Mountain God was somehow reattached. I think maybe there is a Devil Fruit power that has medical applications similar to the Ope Ope no Mi that exists in Wano.

The reason I think him being in Wano is in important is because I think Weevil ate a SMILE and became an artificial zoan.

I think Weevil is an Awakened SMILE user which would explain why he is dim-witted.

Haki can overcome Devil Fruit abilities so I think Weevil will use Haki to return to normal.

I think there is a mystery surrounding Kadar. His ship got sank even though Fisher Tiger promised the Sun Pirates would spare them.

It was even reiterated that Fisher Tiger did not want the Sun Pirates taking lives. Which makes me think there is more to it.

I think Kizaru hearing the report about Weevil and hearing the report about Kadar 15 years ago is a clue to this.

I think Weevil is the pirate Shanks talked to the Gorosei about. I think it makes sense if the pirate is connected to them and the Shichibukai worked for the World Goverment. The meeting reminded me of Shanks' one with Whitebeard.

Also what do u guy think of the clone piece theory, many people speculate that weevil could be a failed clone of WB and also think the jewelry Bonny is a clone of big mom I agree because they both have eating habits there’s also Blackbeard being a clone of Rocks and luffy being a clone of roger I like the luffy one because garp could have known this and since roger was dying he made a clone of him to let him grow up with his dear son ace (not garp specifically maybe dragon)

Maybe rogers will is needed to create a better world(kinda rushed in class)

So firstly I say that Weevil is my 2nd favorite character, so I might be biased.

Next, Borsalino, a MARINE ADMIRAL praised Weevil's strength and comapred it to that of a younger Whitebeard, the guy that clashed with Roger. I am not sure if the admiral was talking about prime wb or younger-than-prime but still really strong whitebeard, but probably the latter. Weevil also wiped the floor with 16 Whitebeard-allied crews, including A O Pirates, with a captain that made himself a name in the New World. While he did get destroyed by Ryokugyu, another admiral, you can make an argument that Ryokugyu is an admiral and is one of the strongest marines. In the wiki page for Weevil it states that "While he was no match for Admiral Ryokugyu, he at least survived the brutal Admirals attack." He survived. That's probably not that much of a feat considering the admiral was trying to capture him I think, but there you go. My opinion on why Edward Weevil is really strong,

Another day, another chapter. Stussy knocks out Lucci, and she really was the unseen person Vegapunk talked to earlier. Now I'm pretty certain either her or the "real" Stussy is the female MADS member seen a few covers back. Also, Stussy is gonna join the Vegapunks' travel with the Straw Hats! Yay! 💖

Zoro having a scuffle against Seraphim Mihawk is cool.

Marco is back on the Sphinx island, on which Edward fought against the marines earlier before getting captured by Aramaki. Oh my.

And after all these years we finally get a name on one of the Five Elders!

How strong is this young man named Weevil who has huge bounty and even got invited into the shichibukai at his mother's command so i will try my best to rank him. Well by kizaru himself he is reminiscent of his alleged father in his younger days who was a monster in terms of power thus meaning Weevil is around that level too but it could have been a hyperbole but i don't think so. His success against Whitebeard pirates and allies proves that since he has been shown to have defeated the AO pirates all alone with no visible scars or wound.

Yo wassup i might make a series out of this, sorta like a daily why this character sucks type of post and of course i mean in universe sucks because Oda is trying to make us hate these characters that legit the fucking point but yea lets get into this. Now Weevil hasn't had much screen time in the show but i still despise him for all the screen time hes got, i mean sure he is strong (not nearly has strong as his not dad) but only Shibukai level so he aint like a god or anything. But his personality fucking sucks, i mean it isn't even really him its mainly his annoying ass greedy mother who keeps convincing his son that "He iS WhIteBeaRds SoN" all just because in looks they look similar but in personality that can't be farther from the truth, i mean Whitebeard was a brave and intelligent person, but he cared for his crew who he treated like a family and was overall a good person if a bit stiff. While Weevil that bug is a stupid, thickheaded, gullible oaf who is convinced he is Whitebeards son, while his mother is a greedy, manipulative, bitch who is making his child literally desecrate Whitebeards name for money and such. Damn Edward Weevil deserves to be in a bag of flour rather than tricking the world that Whitebeard has a son.
