Gomu Gomu no Mi/Gear 4 Techniques

would it be the same or something completely new? like a “forceman” or “cheetahman” (names i came up with on the spot, for boundman and snakeman respectively.) i think this could be something new. but tell me your opinions!

Its safe to say in base form G1 Luffy (elbaf arc) is now relative to sanji in power (if not possibly Zoro).

In the elbaf arc chapter 1129

He uses a miniature gear 4th

And do mind after the dressrosa-whole cake island arc Luffy stopped using gear 2 techniques. based on that we can say that Luffy will use all of his gears in base. I have a theory based on this statement. due to gear 5 being the ultimate form I dont think there would be use for the other 4 gears when he has an awakened form. I feel like after elbaf Luffy wont have the need to rely on gears to face opponents anymore (excluding Gear 5). I know people would say its bullshit. or liam wont agree. but there is a possibility

I need yall opinions on this, since it could be sm really big. Do yall think gear 5 could have different forms like gear 4 ranging in power and usability? We've already seen luffy have some different forms with gear 5 so me personally I don't think it's too far away. If it does indeed happen it's gotta be against someone like blackbeard or a potential plot twist enemy as shanks.

I wouldn't make a post like this, but after this arc, I just had to:

1) The beginning was the same as all arcs, they get there, they sight see, then find smth strange, something or someone is missing, and some confusion when new chars appear, or after that. But this arc, is just so good like honestly, When they told us about sanji's wedding, I was kinda happy, cuz I always thought he'd end up with nami, maybe cuz I don't really like nami that much tho, and when they showed pudding I was so happy for Sanji, but when they said Luffy would be under big mom after the marriage, I was hoping that Sanji would actually marry pudding, and then pudding would run away with Sanji to the sunny, and Luffy would say “I WILL NEVER BE UNDER YOU, BIG MOM!!!”, and he'd still sail with her daughter, but one piece don't really put the MCs in a relationship that quickly, so def, that wouldn't happen. And when pudding turned out to be bad, I felt SOOO sorry for Sanji, and when Sanji went to give Luffy food at the promised place, Luffy was SOOO skinny, and he looked poor, and I don't like seeing poor ppl look hungry or sad, so I also felt bad for Luffy, however that was he's decision, and he was so grateful for the food, even though it was wet, and somewhat messy, but he still enjoyed it to the fullest, and that's a reason why One Piece is my best anime. And when It came to the wedding and sanji's family(The Germa) where fighting for sanji's chance to run away, tbh, even tho I'm aware of what they did to Sanji, I honestly thought that eventually, at the end, Germa 66 would be under "The Straw Hat Pirates", but sadly(for me) that wasn't the case, but at least sanji got the raid suit before they left so that's good

2) SH Luffy Vs Katakuri:

I could have included this in the one above, but the fight was so good I wanted to make it a completely different part. So after this fight Katakuri is my fav OP villain, not only bc of his powers and behavior, but also bc of his morales and how he respects those that are close to him in strength. Now in the beginning of the fight, ngl, all that was on my mind was "The Fight" itself, and Gear 4:Snakeman, cuz I've been looking forward to that form since I know gear 4 has 3 versions, and I've seen the other two, so all that was left was Snakeman, infact bc of the fight I barely read what was happening outside the mirror world, I mean, when they were showing Sanji, I did read it, but when they were showing the sunny, that was the one I barely read, I did read the "Su long" part, and when Big mom was chasing them, but aside from those 3 things, I just basically skipped the pages that were not in the mirror world. When Luffy thought, he could win with regular G4, I was just expecting the next, cuz I already assumed Snakeman would appear in this arc, so I just kept on reading.

Honestly speaking, I love what Katakuri did when his dumb, strangely fat sister was tampering with he fight, and when they were calling Luffy a "baby lamb" trying to get up, I was hoping Katakuri would hit her head or smth, now, Luffy don't care about what they be saying, so I was even happy that kata(Katakuri for short), showed his own teeth for them to laugh at him as well, and then they continued their fight, with kata seeing Luffy as his equal.

The fight goes on until kata tells Luffy get back up and endure, and that's when HE appeared.... “GEAR 4: SNAKEMAN”, and I have to ask, I've said this in a previous post(not mine), that does the cloud effect appear on someone when they have awakened their df? @Atlas D. Aeradon , but I'm sure Luffy didn't awaken it then and there so that would not be the case, and snake man is faaasssst!, I think my fav technique is “Gomu Gomu Black mamba”, Idk, I don't have a fav technique, but for some reason, I like that technique.

After kata fell on his back(intentionally) I like the respect Luffy showed, by putting his second hat on his face after he passed out...

I was pretty sad when Sanji and pudding had to separate, but they had to, but I hope when Sanji retires, he goes to marry pudding immediately!. So over all it was a good arc, infact a great one, bc they declared Luffy to be the fifth emperor of the sea, and they just added a billion to his normal bounty. Btw, I like the way Luffy told jinbe that “We'll wait for you in wano! You must come!!!”, then I remembered that, "hey, I've seen this exact phrase somewhere before” @Fusion D King

I’m asking a couple questions here, first off is…

First, What do we count as flying in One Piece, does Bounce Man fly? Does zoro fly using 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation when he turns into the green beam? Is Rayleigh flying in Sabaody when he stops Kizaru’s attack?

Second, Someone try and list out all the Logia’s like Crocodile and Enel who can use their devil fruits to fly, and do we reckon Monkey. D Dragon can fly? And which Zoan users are granted the ability to fly via their fruit abilities?

Does flight add to the power of attacks?

Yes he is imp he is really underrated he deserves more, alot of people see him as the bad guy sadly but he ia cool son of an YONKO and besides ppl say his bad only because of his observation haki he litteraly has the coolest DF in the anime and made luffy use GEAR 4

Yeooo I'm back after making my last post in Enies Lobby. My goat Luffy back at it again. The pacing was really weird for the first half of the fight, and I got spoiled abt snakeman so I was just waiting for it. Dressrosa was peak too. For me, Doffy's a top tier antagonist, and I was saddened by the fact that Luffy only hit Big Mom once and then decided not to attack again. Doesn't really matter Katakuri still sexy.

Since the first time Luffy used gears ,Oda somehow finds ways to nerf Luffy. Lets start with :

• Gear 2: Luffy loses lifespan because he puts a toll on his heart and body by rapidly sirculating his blood (at least something like that) . I believe that oda shouldn't have put this kind of restriction in Luffy. He should just get tired with extended fight in this form and just that.

• Gear 3: This is also puts a toll in his his body but not to the extent of gear 2.

• Gear 4: He use a combination of armament haki and gear 3 or something close to it , where not only he becomes physically stronger but also his body gets a boost in elasticity. Also his haki gets a boost in power. In general Gear 4 have three sub-forms. But comes with the cost him being physically exhausted and not being able to use haki fir a whole 10 minutes,which in a fight is UNACCEPTABLE. Oda should just have made Luffy just at least , unable to use this form for ten minutes and that is all.

In the end of the day which Yonko level from what we have seen is so weak and gets exhausted so easy. Maybe in his gear 4 and his 3 advanced haki I am sure that be can fight toe to toe with any emperor but when he gets exhausted then what ...cuase although Luffy somehow won the fight against kaido with much luck and an exhausted and hurt Kaido and hurt but in the end he needed also his awakening. Correct me if I'm somewhere .

I wanna mention that right now I am when Luffy,Law and Kid just arrived in Roof piece and Luffy got exhausted after fought kaido with his gear 4 and showcased his ryou .

There is also Gear 5 (awakening) but I don't know much about it. I only know is that everytime he uses it ,it is shown that he ages but I don't know the extent of the drawback...

Well in general ,Oda has this habit that everytime that luffy power ups gets and drawbacks which I haven't seen this with any other characters in the series. What are your thoughts?
