So we all know somehow Blackbeard is the only know person to have had two devil fruits in history (maybe due to the Yami Yami no Mi, or perhaps its Blackbeard himself). So my question is, what if someone who already has a devil fruit and is immortal (say any member of the Gorosei or someone who gets the immortal operation done to them) ate another devil fruit? Would it still kill them or would they posses another devil fruit ability? I've been thinking about this question for a HOT minute now and want to know some of your thoughts?

My official and personal devil fruit, is the "Ope Ope fruit"(オペオペの実). Held by Trafalgar Law.
As we know Garp has been captured by the Blackbeard pirates, and what we last saw of Law in the anime he was just about to confront BB at sea, with only a 4 man crew as well as still not fully recovering from his injuries from the raid on Onigashima.

I think it’s acceptable to say that Law will likely be detained by the BB pirates at this point in time, and if not, he might be about to free all of BB’s prisoners, however I find Law not be captured quite unlikely. Both Law and Garp have likely been detained, and are likely facing grave injuries, however they are also likely detained in the same place. What I believe is possible is that though Garp is essentially dead, and may never recover with the assistance of a regular doctor.

The surgeon of death may be able to help, with his awakened devil fruit he might be able to synthesise Garp’s destroyed organs, as well as nurse him back to normal health, as well as attach each part of his chest that was ruptured.

This seems like an event that will happen in the distant future, something that might happen just in the nick of time for the SH crew a they run into trouble and a newly healthy Law and Garp show up to save the day. Garp must surely play more of a part in the story and Law is too much of a fan favourite to die so early in the final saga. What I’m trying to say is, don’t write Garp off just yet, as Oda has seemingly written him a lifeline that just might work. This idea seems iffy in many places, like how law will get Garp off the icicle without killing him, how law will even get to he icicle, and how Law will manage the operation as well, however, Oda has written many Iffy moments before and explained them really well.

So I have faith in Law and I have faith in Garp. And I have faith in their combined power to escape the BB pirates, or maybe even kill some major players in their crew. A possible solution for the iffiness is that Garp is seemingly being preserved by the ice, it is freezing itself around him, perhaps giving him and Law more time, and making it easier for Law to operate.

So the ope ope can do that immortality surgery, but it kills the user, right? What if someone like blackbeard who could use 2 devil fruits just had the phoenix fruit as well, and had the phoenix healing in full blast? Could they heal through it? I know there isn't a lot of info on this, so there isn't a definitive answer, so just tell me what you think would happen.

It has the essence of a SW backstory and here is why ( quick thing before we start. i have MAJOR corazon bias so keep that in mind. )
Lets first explain the history of Trafalgar D. Water Law:
He was born into a town called flevance ( its a stupid name ). flevance later suffered tragedy becuase they had a virus known as amber lead and was destoryed, with Law's parents dying infront of him. Becuase of this, Trafalgar suffered a mental break down. Later Law was able to escape by hiding in a ship of deadbodys. then he went to a town called Spider Miles, he then ran into a group known as the donquixote pirates.
Law asked Their leader, Donquixote Doflamingo if he could join their pirate crew ( Law did this all while wearing a strip of grenades. ). After being accepted, trafalgar met the brother of Doflamingo, Donquixote Corazon. Corazon Told Law that he hated kids, and later Cora-san threw Law out of a window. in response The latter stabbed corazon while corazon was reading a newspaper. later after much much MUCH training, Law realised that becuase of his Amber lead syndrome, he had only 1 1/2 year left. Law then told corazon his full name, which shocked Corazon since corazon did not know he had the will of D. so Corazon bought Law the Ope Ope no mi, and saved Law's life. but corazon died.
Now heres the thing his story has so many things to it: drama, sadness, comedy, corazon. and Oda went the extra mile to give us his story in so much detail, all while explaining so much. We probobly know more about Law, then we do about someone like Big mom or Ace. Oda told a story in such expansive detail, and explained Law and his motives so much. Law himself made dressrosa 1000% times better. his story helped up. lets compare it to a SW's Background shall we? let's talk about Sanji's.
Sanji's story was about the sh*tty life he had, and although law's parents where 10000 times better then Vinsmoke judge, Law's parents died, as did Sanji's love for his dad. ( minus sora, she was kind )
Sanji and law both had been hurt by their savors. Law was thrown out of a window by corazon, just like how Zeff kicked Sanji whie raiding the oribt.
They're saviors changed after hearing the problems. After "red shoes" Zeff found out Sanji's dream to find "The all blue" he decided to protect Sanji since Zeff once wanted to find the all blue. and cora-san protected and saved law from death ( amber lead poison ) after learning Law had the will of D.
All of the plot elements are massive and cool. which is why Law has a backstory that is as good as a strawhat's backstory.

Ope ope user can give imortal to people but can ope ope user give him self be imortal?
In chapter #1064 we had a nice clash between Law and Teach, where Teach can physically interact with Law's Kikoku coated with KROOM (Awakening).
First of all, let's first understand how Kroom works and how Law coats it in his sword.
After Law coats his sword with KROOM she receives new properties through the Space Manipulation of the Ope Ope no Mi, one of which is intangibility, she simply ignores any Matter. In addition, KROOM has immunity to Haki's basic defenses. Even though Big Mom is superior to Law in Haki, she cannot nullify the Law Fruit's powers.
But, as we saw in the previous chapter, Teach was able to physically interact with something intangible. With that we only have 1 plausible explanation.
The Gura Gura no Mi provides the user with the ability to manipulate space and also gives the user resistance to space manipulation, being able to reach intangible beings or objects.
I always imagined that the animation of the breaking air was just an aesthetic issue and that it was only related to vibrations and shock waves. But it's actually interacting with space.
What could this skill provide?
Whitebeard/Teach can hit intangible targets or even prevent attacks from targets that have spatial intangibility like Law. On a larger scale, Whitebeard or Teach could hit Naruto's Obito, for example, even if he was intangible. Space Hax is not the area that I have the most knowledge, those who understand more about it can comment what they think.

So yeah I’m kinda confused about law’s devil fruit. Why doesn’t he just cut his enemies from far away instead of getting close range like he did back at the fight against doflamingo? Also, he threw rocks or objects to shambles but he literally does shambles without an object around him, like that time in punk hazard where he used shambles to get in the laboratory with chopper (it might be an anime mistake cause I didn’t read the manga). Can someone explain this?
