One of the biggest controversies in the fandom about One Piece is how weak Buggy is compared to how he should be as a former member of the Roger Pirates as well as crewmates with Shanks.

I think Buggy's weakness makes sense cuz he describes his time as part of that crew as traumatic, which left him paralyzed in the East Blue, unwilling to seek further ambition in the GrandLine. His fallout with Shanks also explains it as he originally wanted to get the One Piece with Shanks but Shanks didn't want to and so he lost his will.

In terms of fighting, it makes sense that he didn't get that strong because he probably never had to fight crazy strong characters since he was in Roger's crew and he prolly played the same role that Ussop, Chopper and Nami play in the dynamic with the Monster Trio. His lack of Haki comes with the fact that he lost his willpower, first from the death of Roger and his fallout with Shanks and he had never needed to learn it before cuz the other crewmates on his ship took care of the DF users and strong members whilst Buggy and Shanks prolly fought the weaker ones or teens/children like them(Marco and Blackbeard in the case of WB pirates).

I think the chapter in which we saw Buggy proclaim his desire to find the One Piece is prolly him getting his willpower back and maybe he will get Haki now but Oda might not give it to him cuz of the meme. What u guys think?

I feel like it would be really cool if the strawhats encountered more of rogers crew. We only get to see 4 of em.

The Egg on Rogers Ship was apprehended by the W.G later being stolen by none other than Monkey D. Dragon, making him the world's Most Wanted Criminal? Then Luffy was born from the egg which is why there is nothing said about Luffy's mother in the story.

During Roger’s time, when he was alive, him and his crew were the strongest in the world. Even after the Rocks Pirates and before the Whitebeard Pirates. We fan have finally known almost all the members of Roger’s crew. Now the question is do we know so far who are the top 10 strongest members. Yes, Oden does count since he was still considered as one of them. No, Douglas Bullet does NOT count since he was NON canon

This may have already been revealed or something idk but, during the war of the best the world found out Ace was Roger’s son. Why didn’t any of the Roger pirates, besides Shanks I guess, try and help their former captains kid? Leave a comment saying why.

I feel like people are misunderstanding the monster trio and the parallels to Roger's crew

My perspective is this,

The monster trio is meant to parallel the *metallic trio* of the Roger pirates

Luffy being roger

Zoro = rayleigh

Sanji = scopper

And Yamato is literally oden! the *metallic trio* have been together for so long and they definitely were the most relevant of the crew but when oden joined the Roger pirates he was an added force but he didn't necessarily break that trio, but he was (assumedly) stronger than rayleigh and scopper

IMO oda is telling us that the trio that is Luffy, zoro, and sanji with the Roger pirates, the monster trio goes beyond just fighting force, they are the most relevant.

Rayleigh and scopper were rogers wings; zoro and sanji are Luffy's and oden is the wind that takes them the final length

If Shanks and Buggy are the only pirates that served under Gol D. Roger and are still active as pirates, shouldn’t they know where the one piece is located?

The rest of Roger’s old crew would not be looking for it because they are retired. Buggy might not yet be in the position to get to it, but Shanks should be able to located it, right?

I’m only at episode 632 so I don’t know if in the coming episodes it is further explaid, but I was curious to find out if anybody has an answer to this.

Ofcoures all of this is only possible if there is an actual fysical tressure at the end of the ‘Grand line’.

So theories have been popping up claiming this man to be Scopper Gaban of the Roger pirates ,so let me know what you think

How do you guys think the straw hats will stack up against the roger pirates at the end of the series in terms of strength? I personally think that the roger pirates would be stronger because they have more people and multiple people able to 1v1 the straw hats. Though if you were to include the grand fleet the it would go to straw hat pirates. Anyway let me know what you think.

This is just my own opinion and I just want to compare my thoughts with other fans, I am not trying to start a conflict or look down on your opinion. Spoilers ahead, so be warned.

I personally think that Oda must from now on be careful who he gives haoshoku haki to. If it is so rare that one in several millions are born with it, there can't just keep coming multiple characters with that haki. There are 15 people at the point of this post (I am only counting canon users or confirmed by Oda like Sengoku). Crews like the Roger pirates or the Rocks pirates are legendary and one of the reasons is at least three powerful haoshoku haki users. Just because Zoro is cool, does not mean he should have it, in that case let's just give every cool person that power.

I might be ok if it is revield that Garp, Dragon or that Rocks D. Xebec has/ had it since they are (Dragon and Xebec not confirmed yet, just speculating) on yonko power level. This is not a rant, just a thought that occured when I was reading chapter 997. Sorry if I misspelled some words.

Not sure if anyone has posted about this but I think the egg is on the Red Force. No clue what’s in the egg, just was building the Red Force model and noticed this big structure in the middle of it. Let me know your thoughts

There was alot of hype surrounding the build up to this chapter and it was well deserved. I have so many questions about what was covered in this chapter so let's get started. First I want to talk about Teach "Blackbeard", he was apparently recruited to the whitebeard pirates through Odens division which I find very interesting. This is because with the recent events surrounding Wano Oden probably talked about Wano alot to his crewmates, possibly giving BB some info surrounding the country that is unknown to others. This may play a role during the 5th act of wano.

Next I want to talk about Orochi and his family line. So apparently his father was really power hungry killing the other daimyos in line to the shogun and ended up performing seppuku after the birth of Odens father sukiyaka. But the interesting part about this whole situation is that this info is being relayed to us by a previous user of the Mane-mane fruit (Mr 2s) fruit. She take the form of this scary looking witch and I cant help but guess that she is either from kaidos crew or some other third party that we are not aware of because she/he refused to mention their name to Orochi.

Lastly I want to talk about the Roger scene. We got to see a good look at some new crew members like the Fishman and a mysterious silhouette figure calling for garp and sengoku instead of the marines sent to take care of them. With Oden being on Roger's ship for the last journey I believe this is where the trade off happens and where Whitbeard and Roger have the talk about the will of D. Cuz If you remeber in the scene during marine Ford they had the conversation by sakura trees closely resembling wano.
