Ok, you have $100, and each character is worth a certain amount of money. The people you pick has to have a total of 100…obviously. Pick away 😭.
For my first pick I’m gonna choose Mihawk. He’s arguably the strongest character in this list. He has advanced armament and likely to have advanced observation though it must be at least proficient. My next pick is actually Shiryu. He’s one of my favorite characters and should be quite strong. Should have proficient armament and observation and probably one of the strongest swordsmen in the series. My next pick is Yamato. She was able to somewhat fight on par with Kaido tanking attacks and injuring the latter. My last pick is Marco. Strong enough to draw blood from an admiral, launch another, fight two strong Yonko commanders simultaneously, and momentarily clash with an emperor. He injured one with greater durability than Kaido as well.
Mihawk-$40
Shiryu-$15
Yamato-$20
Marco-$25
40+15+20+25=100.

Most of the pirates in One Piece turned to a life of crime due to their own choice, they chose to be criminals. Shiryu however, was a great man put in a no-win scenario. First, he was put in prison for helping society, he killed a lot of criminals, too many for some people but like Shiryu himself said, they were "trash" and I agree.
Then here comes the part where he was left with no choice but to join Blackbeard. When Magellan released him, Shiryu asked if he was going to be free after helping, but Magellan told him that he would just "postpone his execution". So, if he helped, he would just go back to his cell and wait for death... that's no choice at all, Shiryu did what anybody would have done, he took freedom by force, cause freedom isn't free.
What do you think? Should Shiryu have accepted death and go back to his cell or did he make the right choice?
Based on this picture it seems Oda is implying Shiryu is the vice captain of the blackbeard pirates but that makes it very confusing cause Jesus Burgess is the Captain of the first ship while Shiryu is Captain of the second ship and Burgess has been with Blackbeard way before Shiryu has.
Did Oda ever explicitly clarify this?!?!?!?
I don't know if this has been brought up before but has anybody noticed that Shiryu and King have the same uniform?
What do you all think, do they have some kind of past or is it just coincidence?
