Yami Yami no Mi

So we all know somehow Blackbeard is the only know person to have had two devil fruits in history (maybe due to the Yami Yami no Mi, or perhaps its Blackbeard himself). So my question is, what if someone who already has a devil fruit and is immortal (say any member of the Gorosei or someone who gets the immortal operation done to them) ate another devil fruit? Would it still kill them or would they posses another devil fruit ability? I've been thinking about this question for a HOT minute now and want to know some of your thoughts?

since until now (as far as I know) there has not been an explanation of how exactly Blackbeard managed to have the Yami Yami No Mi and the Gura Gura No Mi at the same time, how do you think he managed to have two Devil Fruits at the same time ? (If there is already an official explanation and I don't know it, sorry for not knowing it)

My two theories are: Ace is stronger than Law or Blackbeard getting the Gura Gura no Mi made him weaker. Here are the two theories:

Ace is stronger than Law. Ace held his own against Blackbeard, Blackbeard using the Yami Yami no Mi. Sure Ace eventually lost, but he managed to survive a while. Meanwhile, Law lost to Blackbeard, Blackbeard using the arguably weaker fruit in his arsenal, the Gura Gura no Mi. For Law, when Blackbeard started using the Yami Yami no Mi, Law lost the battle. If Ace can hold his own against the Yami Yami, and Law can’t, Ace must be stronger. Following this theory, these characters should be stronger than Blackbeard: Mihawk, Kaidou (easily), Big Mom, Dofi (possibly?), Shanks (even with one arm), Zoro, Luffy (easily), Rayleigh, Aokiji, Van Auger (possibly), and maybe even Killer. From the marines, this theory makes the following characters able to beat Blackbeard, Akainu, Rob Lucci, Kizaru, Fujitora (with struggle possibly?), Sengoku, and Garp.

Now my other theory is that having the Gura Gura no Mi made Blackbeard weaker. If Blackbeard needs to use the Yami Yami to beat Law, with the Gura Gura still having a lot of power, then Law and Kid could beat with him some trouble, but still come out on top. This would also mean that Ace and Law are more equal in power. This theory makes sense because Law is an extremely strong fighter, and still lost. If Blackbeard got weaker it would also mean Law isn’t as strong as we thought he was, because if Blackbeard got weaker Law could probably do better than he did against Blackbeard.

In the first episodes we saw that shanks did stole Gum Gum fruit from government in a special voyage that he and his crew went on just to gain access to this special fruit, and in return Shank's daughter mysteriously took a separate way from his dad and left the ship. Then in an accident luffy ate Gum Gum fruit and then Shanks tried to take it back from Luffy's stomach but failed. Then shanks saved Luffy from the sea king and sacrificed his left arm. Later in epiode 316 shanks told Edward Newgate aka White beard that the reason he lost his left arm was "bet on the new era!" And he asked White Beard to stop Portgace D. Ace chasing Edwad D. Tatch aka Black Beard, and White Beard refused it. Later in story (around 1020 episode or so) we see Shanks is secret king in Marie Jois holy city and there is a gigantic straw hat in the basement of Mari Jua castle of 5 Elder Stars and that too Shanks went on a special meating with 5 Elders about certain Pirate group which was Strawhat Luffy's group.

So...my theory is ; Shanks is a bad guy, who sees Gum Gum Fruit as a danger to his throne (Throne in Mari Jois), so he wanted Nika God Fruit be under his control but he accidentally lost it when Luffy ate eat(remember 5 elders told us it is as if Gum Gum Fruit always escaped from the hands of 5 Elders in the last 800 years!), so Shanks gave his arm (or pretended to! As we saw in one episode that he still has two arms!) in order to gaining trust of Luffy and keep an close eye on Gum Gum person at least until when he can find a way to regain Gum Gum Fruit or extract it from Luffy's body again (notice there is just one special Devil Fruit which it has power of Darkness, BlackBeard Dark Dark fruit, and can be used to acquire power of another devil fruit from a living power user ), so Shanks had no choice but to let Luffy goes and then find a way. So Shanks goes to BlackBeard and told him to study about Devil fruits and keep searching for a special one (Dark Dark Fruit) ,, BlackBeard find it and eat it, instantly he wants go after Luffy in Water 7 island, but Ace intercepted and fought with BlackBeard, but Ace lost...not by BlackBeard's power, but to Shanks interception in the fight, which we didn't see result of the fight in that episode!! Shanks wants BlackBeard acquiring Gum Gum Fruit from Luffy's body when Luffy is still Alive, because if Shanks kills Luffy then no one can guess Fruit will be reincarnated where in the world! So Fruit and it's power just can be extracted from living body of Luffy by Dark Dark Fruit Owner aka Blackbeard. when Shanks find out that Portgace D. Ace is going after BlackBeard, he has feared that there is a chance Ace kills BlackBeard and whole plan be destroyed, so Shanks goes straight to WhiteBeard to asking him stopping Ace and chasing BlackBeard, but after WhiteBeard refusal, Shanks personaly goes after Ace and captured him and gave its credit to BlackBeard, just to preventing luffy to find out that Shanks was true culprit and mastermind behind Imprisonment of Ace and ultimate enemy of Luffy and Joyboy...

So, we all know that Whitebeard had the Gura Gura no Mi's powers, right? And we know that Blackbeard now has the Gura Gura no Mi's powers after Marineford. Isn't it interesting how he took the powers?

One of the Yami Yami no Mi's passive abilities is the ability to nullify Devil Fruit users, any kind, especially Logia Fruit users since they cannot transform into their element. Blackbeard put a cloth over Whitebeard's body using his Devil Fruit.

Maybe the Cloth allowed Blackbeard to absorb Whitebeard's fruit abilities, using alot of Blackbeard's energy, since it covered Whitebeard's full body. If this is true, any Devil Fruit user is in danger because of this, what would happen if he for example absorbed the Mera Mera no Mi or Pika Pika no Mi?

If it is like this, this would make Blackbeard insanely overpowered, but he need's to kill the user, and if the user is stronger there is no chance he wins. The only reason he beat Whitebeard because his entire crew attacked and Whitebeard was at the brink of death.

As we all know, Marshall D. Teach, the Commodore of the Blackbeard Pirates, has two Devil Fruits, the Tremor-Tremor Fruit and the Dark-Dark Fruit. He mastered them pretty well and he’s a master of Armament Haki and Observation Haki. Do you think he will awaken his two Devil Fruits if he hasn’t already? I think he will awaken at least one.

So BB has a “special body” similar to how Kuma is a big man but not human and not giant… he a buccaneer. BB too is big man but not human (apparently) and not a giant. Kuma and BB also have similar hair styles and facial structures (not that it necessarily means anything). So, Blackbeard a buccaneer? Maybe?

Jsyk this was made on canva since other tiermakers weren't working at the time. The Suna Suna draining gimmick and Numa Numa storage gimmick up them a tier in the hierarchy, since they don't really have any direct relatives. I'm putting Yami Yami as the highest due to its nullification, and Moku Moku lowest because it's inferior to Gasu Gasu, which in turn is inferior to Mera Mera, which is inferior to Magu Magu. Goro Goro is electricity, which is inferior to light, a more pure form of energy. Aokiji was able to fight on par with Akainu so Hie Hie is in that tier, and I assume that Pika Pika is also that powerful, since we saw how potent Goro Goro was, and Pika Pika is its direct superior.

Personally, I think the Isle-Isle Fruit is interesting. However, the Warp-Warp Fruit, Strong-Strong Fruit, and Sick-Sick Fruit are OP irl.

I feel like brook could be an absloute menace with even with basic armsrment . He did survive against big mom with no haki. I just wish oda would give him more fights. What do you guys think?

So my theory is that Blackbeard awakening for his yami yami no mi is that. He will be able to permanently remove devil fruit abilities and store them in a arsenal. (Ex) he could take magellans doku doku no mi and store it in a arsenal for later being able to switch it out for say the gura gura no mi. What do you all think

Why didn't the gura gura no mi regrow?

When you think about it the user of it which was Whitebeard (R.I.P) did in fact die but Blackbeard only took its abilities but if a new fruit is made when the user who ate the fruit died wouldn't that mean theres a Gura Gura no mi somewhere out there because Whitebeard was the one who ate it?
