Let me preface this post with this: I personally don't believe that when Luffy and co get to Laugh Tale, it's going to be one massive info dump. Rather, I think Oda is leaving breadcrumbs and puzzle pieces for the readers that will come together in our heads when they reach Laugh Tale and we'll be like "OH MY GOD! THAT'S IT!" Otherwise, the final island is just gonna be exposition for however many chapters it is.

Now with that being said, I have a feeling that one of the breadcrumbs Oda will drop before Laugh Tale will be the name of the ancient kingdom and it will happen during Wano. Why do I think that? Well, Wano is the convergence point for some of the oldest things in the world of One Piece. We have Zunesha, Toki, the Poneglyphs, the Ancient Weapons and Wano itself which has all but been stated to have been a major player during the Void Century.

Zunesha

Zunesha is the oldest living creature in the world of One Piece. We know it's sentient and therefore, it must know things, specifically, everything that has happened in the 1000 years it's been alive. In chapter 1040, we learn that Zunesha was a companion or nakama (depending on the translation?) of Joyboy's. This makes Zunesha easily the most concrete proof besides the Poneglyphs of what happened during the Void Century and since he is capable of speaking to people, the greatest source of lore I think we've gotten in the story.

If Zunesha is telling Momo that he was a companion of Joyboy and Joyboy is closely associated to the Ancient Kingdom, I don't see how Zunesha doesn't know its name. It's entirely possible then that Momo has already learned it from their conversation in 1040 or even their conversation back during the Zou Arc.

Toki

Now according to the story, Toki was born around 830 years ago (during the Void Century) and was part of the Amatsuki daimyo family of Wano BUT she had never been to her homeland. Hence, why she was curious about it when she first met Oden and why she was traveling through time to get there. So what does this mean? It means that during the Void Century, Toki was somewhere else besides Wano. Where was that somewhere else? Likely, the ancient kingdom.

830 years ago was right at the tail-end of the Void Century which means that the great war that established the World Government was either ongoing, about to begin OR finishing up right before Toki went forward in time. Now we can assume she wasn't an ally of the WG because why would she travel in time if her side won? So it's highly likely that she was an ally of the Ancient Kingdom and therefore, knows its name.

I think it's possible Toki told Oden the name of the Ancient Kingdom and it may even be in his logbook.

Poneglyphs

Wano is the homeland of the Kozuki Clan, the inventors of the Poneglyphs and we know that there are at least 3 there. The Road Poneglyph that Kaido possesses, the blue one in the Skull Dome that Law found and the blue one in Orochi's castle that Brook found. Considering Wano and the Kozuki are so closely tied with the Void Century, I figure the two blue Poneglyphs have some major lore written on them and so far, the only person capable of reading them hasn't gotten to take a look at them yet. Which leads to my next point...

Robin

This is also why I think think the capture of Robin has been played up so much during the Wano Arc. As far as we know, Robin doesn't know the Ancient Kingdom's real name but we know she was a scholar of Ohara. We also know that the WG was so scared of letting someone even speak the name that they silenced Prof Clover on the spot.

I speculate that the WG wants Robin so badly, not only because of the Ancient Weapons but because if she learns the name of the Ancient Kingdom, with her Oharan knowledge, she is going to be able to put some pieces together relatively quickly. After the raid is said and done, Robin will get a chance to look at those Poneglyphs and maybe even solve a big piece of the True History puzzle.

Conclusion

So Oda has written in three ways for the SHs (and us) to learn the name of the Ancient Kingdom during Wano: Through Zunesha, through Toki mostly by way of Oden's logbook and the Poneglyphs on Wano when Robin gets a chance to read them. The last one is especially important since based on how Luffy behaved on Sabaody, I don't know if he'd want to learn anything from Zunesha or Oden's logbook. If the SHs find out the name of the Ancient Kingdom in Wano, then it will be once Robin gets a chance to look at those Poneglyphs.....

I'm just realizing that I bought into the hype of Eustass Kid being weak and it makes absolutely no sense. Kid hasn't even gotten enough panel time to be called weak and anybody who says he is is only saying it because they're comparing him to Luffy, THE MAIN CHARACTER.

Let's get something straight: It's literally Luffy's role in the story to eventually be the strongest. To compare Kid, Law, Zoro, Sanji or anyone who is more or less his peer or from his generation to him is unfair. Luffy is going to get the most development, the most attacks, the most fights, the most power ups because he is the main character of One Piece. It's ridiculous to call someone weak when you make Luffy the standard.

With that being said, Kid is not weak at all. Think about it: We've only really gotten to see Kid fight on-panel TWICE (Sabaody and Roof Piece) and BOTH times he held his own. Stop comparing him to Law who has been a main character in 3-4 arcs at this point and has more screen and battle time than probably any other character besides the Straw Hats.

So where is this idea that Kid is weak coming from? The main reason people assume Kid is weak is because he's taken some L's in the New World but guess what? All of those L's have been from YONKO.

1. He lost an arm to SHANKS.

2. He was driven out of BIG MOM's territory after injuring a Sweet Commander and stealing something from her.

3. He was defeated and imprisoned by KAIDO and that was only because Apoo betrayed him.

Now tell me: How many Supernovas have survived encounters with 3 of the Yonko? If anything, this is evidence that Kid is a definite powerhouse. He matched Luffy stone for stone when they were enslaved in Udon with only one arm. Kid has all three forms of Haki. And if I remember correctly, he was actually the only one from Roof Piece who walked away without major damage.

For those of you who still aren't convinced:

If y'all can't see some kind of parallel/rivalry between Kid and Luffy at this point, then I don't know what to say. How many characters in the series can say they knocked down an Emperor? Can we please stop sleeping on Eustass "Captain" Kid?

For everybody arguing AGAINST Hiyori being the Pheasant in the Momotaro tale that Wano is based on, ask yourself something:

Kaido lifted Onigashima in the air in chapter 997. The scabbards were healed by the mysterious shadow in chapter 1004. Most people agree that the shadow is probably Hiyori. So if that's the case, how in God Usopp's name did she get up on a flying island?

There are no ships in Wano except the Beast Pirates ship which means there are certainly no flying ships. Every character with the ability to fly is either on Onigashima already, has no idea who Hiyori is or is her enemy. The only logical explanation is that if it is Hiyori, she had to get to Onigashima through her own means.

Considering that there is a literal peacock on her dress when she is first shown to us as Komurasaki, it's safe to at least SPECULATE that she probably has some type of flying Devil Fruit and if Oda is intent on adapting this Momotaro tale into the Wano Arc where he already has Momotaro (Momo), a monkey (Luffy), a dog (Yamato) and the oni (Kaido), then why in Buggy the Clown's name doesn't it make sense for Hiyori to have some kind of peacock DF?

Two things Oda excels at: 1. Foreshadowing and 2. Interweaving real-life cultures, myths, legends, etc into the mythos of One Piece. All the signs are pointing to Hiyori being the Pheasant. If you don't want to believe that then that has more to do with your personal feelings than what the story is actually telling us.....

I think a conversation that isn't happening alot is about what happens after Wano. Right now, Luffy is facing, not just the strongest opponent he has ever faced but according to the story itself, the "Strongest Creature Alive". So what does this mean for the stakes of the story going forward?

We can all agree that One Piece still has quite a bit to go before it ends and I think we can also agree that before it ends, there are some enemies who definitely need to be defeated. Excluding Kaido and Big Mom we have Akainu, Blackbeard, the Gorosei and Imu who need to go down before this story ends but I think we all consider them to be "endgame" enemies more or less.

If we did a poll I think most fans would agree that either BB, Akainu or Im will be the final antagonist of the series but this presents a problem.

If these are the so-called endgame villains, this means that Luffy and co probably won't face them until or after they reach Laugh Tale which means that between Wano and the end of series, some much needed conflict and tension has to be present.

My assumption is that the SHs journey will go like this: Wano > Elbalf > Lodestar or God's Valley > Laugh Tale > Final War but with Kaido literally being the top of the top, does this mean he is the final hurdle the SHs must cross before finding One Piece?

If Kaido is the Strongest Creature Alive how can there be an enemy that ups the stakes and ramps up the tension even more on Elbalf or Lodestar? Is Wano the last place the SHs will face a seemingly unstoppable enemy and the rest of the journey to find One Piece is just one big lore drop? Or is there someone else out there before the endgame that will give Luffy and the SHs a final challenge before he can become the Pirate King?

Idk how many of you are familiar with the Japanese YouTuber Yuderon but he is the one who came up with the supposedly greatest One Piece Theory of all time.

Well he says that Oda uses a lot of puns and wordplay in the chapter numbers and based off that, he likes to predict what the chapter is gonna be about before it comes out. Yuderon claims to have accurately predicted Jinbei joining the SHs in chapter 976 and the New Onigashima Initiative in 985 and 986.

Well his next prediction involves chapter 1031 which is only 7 chapters (7-10 weeks) away. According to him, the numbers for 1031 in Japanese can either mean "heavenly disaster", "genius" or "the long way. So he predicts that either Onigashima will fall to the ground at this point or that we will get a big reveal regarding Vegapunk or the Road Poneglyphs.

I just wanted to post this here and come back to it when 1031 comes out to see if this plays out. Oh and just FYI, the wordplay for 1127 is Hitotsunagi which means The One Piece. Let's keep a look out for this in the next 2-3 years.....

Iight, so here's my theory for King's Race. Just stick with me on this for a minute. You might like it:

The prevailing theory is that he is a Tengu. If you don't know what that is, go look it up. I personally think that's a little farfetched and has nothing to do with what's already established within the lore of One Piece. In my opinion, I think King is just another race of Sky People. Allow me to explain:

In chapter 238, Gan Fall said there was another way to reach Sky Island known as the Summit of High West. Now we know absolutely nothing about this Summit but we do know that the Red Line is west of Skypeia more or less.

Now we know from the Marco lore drop that King's race lived on top of the Red Line which is, as of now, the only place high enough to allow someone to get onto a Sky Island without the Knock Up Stream. I'm thinking that this Summit of High West is where King is from.

Now disclaimer: The rest of this is HIGHLY speculative which means I'm taking liberties with the canon coming up with this theory. Marco mentioned that King's race can conjure fire; an ability we have not seen among other Sky Peoples. As we know the Sky Peoples consist of the Birkans (Enel), the Skypieans (Gan Fall) and the Shandia (Wyper). Well, the Skypieans were considered to be angels and they even live on Angel Island. So we've got this angel motif right?

Well I propose that King is another race of Sky People that fit the motif of Lucifer/Satan the Fallen Angel. Lucifer was cast out of Heaven by God and became Satan. King's race was cast off of the Red Line by the gods i.e. the Celestial Dragons. Based on the way King's dressed, he ended up on the Blue Sea and became a warden of Impel Down (hell), hence why he's a torture-loving pervert. Just like Satan tortures sinners, King tortured prisoners in Impel Down.

Now this last bit gets even MORE speculative but bear with me a little longer: I think that while he was at Impel Down, King somehow met Queen who was working with MADS (i.e. the science group with Vegapunk and Vinsmoke Judge). They were able to extract his Lineage Factor and Judge used it in his research to create his children.

Hear me out: Besides users of the Mera Mera Fruit, who is another character who seems to be able to generate fire for no reason? Sanji. My theory is Judge's genetic tampering did actually work on Sanji and he was given King's ability to generate fire. Now why do I think this? Well in chapter 416 after Sanji defeated Jabra with Diable Jambe, what did he say? "Cooking is a gift from the gods. Spices are a gift from the devil." The "devil" being King and "spices" being the fire generation ability Sanji inherited from him. I'm just spitballin here, but hey.....
