Would he survive? Probably so, Luffy is conversely more mature than he was, and knowing the events to follow is obviously going to prevent Ace from going into Akainu's easy bait-- even then I sincerely doubt with a newly high-priority target like Luffy they're going to still hyperfocus on Ace.

A part of me almost wants to think Luffy has outgrown Ace on that topic, but the latter was always a hothead anyway.

Would they win the war? No, but it'd be even more of a stalemate than it already was.

One Piece is a very long series, and I'm somewhat confident it'll take a handful of seasons to get to where they are. On the bright side, the original story is in its final stretch, though with how the author is on estimates of the ending, that could take five years.
