Some months ago I realized about an inconsistent fact in kenbunshoku haki and don't know why lI aughed so hard so I would like to share it.
When we beholded kenbunshoku by the first time at Skypiea we were told it was a super sensitive power. Users could practically "read" their foes's mind. That perfectly explains why Enel didn't managed to dodge Luffy's "gatling" when he started punching the wall of the ark. Luffy's fists after hitting the wall got and absolute random trajectory not even he could predict so Enel had no chance to avoid the attacks because there was no mind to read.
However we went on into the story until reaching Fish-men Island.
At some point of their fight Hody started shooting "water bullets" to Luffy in order to harm him but Luffy using kenbunshoku could dodge them all. This makes NO sense since those "bullets" were randomly shot by the fishman, Hody just threw thousands of them hoping the damage Luffy, there was no mind to read so Hody could not knew the exact trajectory of any of those "bullets", so kenbushoku should't work out.
In short, this haki went from "mental reading" to "super reflexes".
That's the plot hole, the inconsistent writing of kenbunshoku haki apparently for Oda's convenience.
Don't know if I found it that funny because of the hole itself or because I lasted about a decade to figure out.
