Training is free... SMILES require resources and most of them fail. Training people in the use of Haki is way more effective than depending on an artificial DF of which 90% make the user even weaker by making them weak to water, laughing constantly and giving them no powers.
Here comes: "Kaido said Haki transcends all!", which is interesting, considering he decided to build a DF army, not a Haki one. Also, Haki did not stop Kaido and Linlin from being killed by Magma (if they are dead)

He's "smarter" based on what? Sakazuki fooled Ace into not fleeing, he fooled Squard into betraying WB, his decisions made the Marines stronger than they've ever been despite losing an Admiral according to Jimbe, etc. What has Aokiji done that makes him "Smarter"?

There's only three that should be in this discussion: Katakuri, Shanks and Issho. The only one we have seen that might have a similar range as Katakuri in One Piece is Shanks in the latest chapter, Issho's way of seeing people's aura and fighting while being blind shows that his Observation is also on another level. I would say:
Issho/Fujitora
Katakuri
Shanks
2 and 3 are interchangeable

The Marines are at the top... There is NOT ONE force in One Piece at this moment that can stop by Marineford and defeat Sakazuki, Borsalino, Ryokugyu, Fujitora, Tokikake, Momousagi, Momonga, Onigumo, Dalmatian, Doberman, etc. together.
The ones that can fight an All Star are Whos-Who and X Drake... maybe Black Maria but even though she might cause some damage she's not winning. Also, Ulti was defeated by Big Mom, not Nami nor Ussopp. From the SHs, Franky and Robin can cause damage but they are not winning against an All Star. Jinbe, Sanji and Zoro are at the level of the Commanders with Robin coming close but not there yet.

Youtube recommended to me this video, which surprisingly I kind of agree with. I see the Yonko and Admirals as being on a power level where a fight can go either way. Yes, Kaido is stronger, but in a fight against Sakazuki, getting distracted might cost him his life. A level where even though some are stronger (Yonko), a fight against somebody that might not be as strong but are very close in power, (Admiral) would cost them a lot, perhaps a leg and an arm.

Ok, first off, that's funny, assuming it's a joke. Now, Katakuri's Haki was stronger than Luffy's during WCI, that means, it's stronger than Zoro's. This is just days before Wano, so unless you all believe that Zoro's haki was stronger than Luffy's during Whole Cake Island, then you know his haki can't be on Katakuri's level yet. What? he got new swords and suddenly his Haki doubled in power? And that's just armament, if you think Zoro's observation is on Katakuri's level then I'll just leave you with this quote:

That happens in every manga. The protagonist will get powerful insanely fast to the point that you'll have a teenager as powerful as a man that's been training for over 40 years. Look at the Admirals, nothing was given to them, they trained, and after many years of work they finally got to the point they are now. I have extreme dislike for stories where a teenager defeats a grown ass man that's been training for years.
The one thing I love in One Piece was Marineford, where you clearly saw the difference in power between the protagonist and the legends of the world. Vice Admirals like Momonga were throwing Luffy around like the kid he is. But after only two years he suddenly surpassed them?
I don't even like the Straw Hats (except Robin), I love One Piece because of the side characters, I think they are much more interesting than the main characters. Thankfully, One Piece lets most characters have their moment
