Pal Pal fruit
Makes the user "your best friend" :) (or a helpful human)
This is a devil fruit that creates "Buddies", helpful spirits that follow the users commands. Generally speaking, these buddies inherit physical characteristics of their master, essentially being a 'chibi' clone. Their bodies will be made of a spectral purple energy. They will have no facial features besides large eyes and a larger smile. Buddies are almost always tiny sprite-like entities, their size consistently being somewhere near that of a Tontatta (slightly taller, actually). Buddies are incapable of speaking outside of grunts and laughs.
Buddies are tiny, and therefore not very strong. Instead, their might is in their numbers and their individual skills. For example, buddies can group up to carry around objects. Inherently, buddies are capable of levitating.
The powers of this devil fruit center around being "helpful", offering the user a series of "support" abilities rather than offering any meaningful offensive powers.
Firstly, buddies are capable of shape shifting, being able to take on different shapes in order to complete a task. This can be used to develop blades for self defense, or most interestingly, merging with other Buddies in order to create a larger entity. This power also allows buddies (especially groups of buddies) to change their appearance to match an object or even person.
A secondary power is that buddies are capable of merging with an object in order to possess it. This allows them to hide from danger, and allows the user to manipulate and command that object as if it were a buddy, even allowing for a sort of telekinetic control.
Buddies can be "sacrificed" in order to heal wounds, using their ability to morph and merge to forcefully close and repair any kind of damage and soothe pain.
A key weakness of this ability is that Buddies are susceptible to steel. Cutting them down is the easiest method of dispelling buddies, regardless of how many there are. When it comes to merging with materials, it is easiest for buddies to merge with organic material such as humans, clothing, or wood.
