So this is more of a rant, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out there and see what you guys think:
One of my biggest gripes with Conqueror's Haki is that after it was revealed it essentially turned into just a glorified status symbol with no use in combat. Sure you could knock out weak-willed minions, but if you're fighting someone remotely strong then it does practically nothing. Even when two CH users clash, you get a stunning light-and-sound show sure, but beyond that, it comes down to their other Haki abilities, Devil Fruits, and fighting skills to determine who comes out on top.
This was why I was so hyped when Advanced Conqueror's Haki became a thing. FINALLY. It could actually be used to fight real foes, and to devastating effect at that. But then a worry came to mind: Now that Luffy's unlocked this ability, will everybody and their mom have this ability too in the future when the Straw Hats face battle post-Wano? I guessed this probably wouldn't happen as even Kaido said "only the strongest can use it", and that would just break the plot significance, but still.
Instead, the opposite extreme seems to be happening. Something that isn't as bad as the situation I just described but still annoying: Luffy just doesn't use ACH at all? He's had two battles since Kaido, Lucci and now Kizaru, and there's no sign he's even thinking of using it. So far he's only used Advanced Armament Haki. (By the way, the reason why I think this is the case is because despite the black lightning from Luffy's attack, his punches and kicks physically hit his opponent like with Lucci and Kizaru. It's been stated quite a few times that the trademark of ACH is that your attacks "don't even touch" the opponent at all).
So basically...Conqueror's Haki is back to being a glorified status symbol again? I get why Luffy shouldn't be spamming this ability, as that would probably be overkill most times, but if he only uses it when the opponent also has it, then we'll probably only see it once in a blue moon from now on. And that just seems like just a waste. ACH doesn't feel like an integrated part of Luffy's arsenal like AAH or AOH is now.
