Because it was decided early on that OCs aren't something this wiki covers, and theres an entire wiki for it. So we avoided it everywhere and instead linked to other wikis that freely fans could discuss them on. I think it was the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom that made us anti-OC because it was very annoying, but my memory could be wrong on it.

This one still exists so I presume this is the one everyone currently pushes.
You can skip segments of the arcs, but not all of it.
Pretty much Zoro has never been regarded as first mate.
At best his been called Luffy's champion.
The SH crews doesn't really have a order of clas status, as their pretty much a disorganised bunch with the opinion of "everyone does their best and thats it". Some jobs DO have priority but I don't even think here is officers in the crew.
The prime jobs are;
Nami says something about steering the ship, then yeah, everyone obeys because the ship is a priority.
Chooper's job is to keep the crew healthy so his job is quite high ranked overall.
Sanji is in charge of food so is in charge of food period.
Franky is shipwright so his tasked with keeping the crew healthy
These guys pretty much have priority over certain conditions of the crew and end up helping making sure the crew gets from A to B.
Other jobs are;
When Jimbei joins he'll be in charge of steering the ship and will take that role, but... He'll just be obeying whatever Nami says to do. So his below Sanji
Brook just entertains the crew so is in charge of overall morale, but his job is prety low ranking, basically "team bard" in DnD terms.
The last class is just the fighters
Zoro master swordsman
Ussop sniper
Robin is in a out-of-place member since, all she does is research things at best ans occassionally provide a bit of advice
Otherwise... Luffy, Sanji and Zoro are the strongest, Ussop, Nami and Chooper are the weakest...
I dunno, their a disfunctional crew, always have been.
It has fur + a cat/dog-like nose so its mammalian, judging by the reaction its legendary.
Its most likely going to be Japanes themed given the current arc.
Unless it turns out to be another kind of Dragon DF, my guess is along the lines of the others' guesses, ecept yeah, the 9 Tails is gone. Qilin I'm placing my own bets on.
The only other horned creature thats fairly popular is the Kotobuki but thats reeally not that popular overall.
I just had a post deleted myself, I don't mind but... There was no explaination given.
As someone whose been here a while, I'd at least like to know when I mess up.
I'm 37, I'm the one whose been here on the wiki the longest, thats it.
I wasn't even the oldest when I first started.
The East blue to Baroque Works saga actually can be measured by the moon phases. After that, it does get more confusing.

In short, the amount of time from the start of the journey to BWs wasn't that much time at all. In all, the first part of the GL storyline isn't long at all, maybe not even a year long?
If he'd been a girl it would have been Anne or something.
He gave him the hat because he said the same exact words Roger did in the past. It is posible there is a bunch of conditions that Shanks knew about to meet JoyBoy and he did feel the Gum Gum Fruit met the criteria. But thebn Luffy said the same words Roger said it brought things even closer, with the passing of the hat also being another step.
We know BB isn't fulfilling the ideas thuigh.
[Bruh I might as well make this a series bc there are A LOT of people I dislike in this show so… @Thagiftedkid you asked for this]
---------
I think this is fair, you don't have to like everything about the show, and liking a show despite its flaws gives you more credit as a fan. True fans mock and adore the thing they worship as a fanatic in the same breath.
There are only two reasons why I don’t like Nami. It’s because of her past choices and her personality.
------
Actually, I think I could think of more... Like how she's used as eyecandy/fanservice at times at the expensive of herself.
Now for her past choices, I’m talking about Arlong Park Arc and a little bit before that. What made me upset is that she used people who actually wanted to be her friend and in their crew. And then finally to the actual Arlong Park Arc, she refused their help and then went crying to them when she made things worse. And I honestly hope she doesn’t do something like that again in the future.
-------
The issue was Arlong was super tough and Nami was forced to be part of their crew. She had befriends Luffy and co and just wanted to protect everything she cared about so wanted to buy her village off of Arlong and get Luffy to just leave. The problem was she was overwhelmed and had regrets about a lot of things, she was rude to Bellemere and had suffered under Arlong who punished her if she did not do as she was told. In the concept of the arc, by the time she got to the point she was so overwhelmed with emotion she was stabbing herself, At that point years of emotional trauma and abuse just piled up and she was helpless. I myself was a victim of abuse and I hate to say it... When things are stakes against you eventually you break and you do cry, you can even hurt yourself because pain is the only thing right then and there that YOU have control of and it helps distract you from your emotional pain. Plus pain is sadly a teaching mechanism, and it helps teach yourself to get yourself together, this is a negative moment. Honestly, in the first arc of One Piece, this is Nami's most vunerable point and her best arc. She honestly had given up hope and didn't know what to do. I think this was East Blue's shining moment in terms of emotional and human development, its pure raw and relatable story telling and one shouldn't devalue it.
Now for her personality, it’s just how she acts like how she’s the captain and everyone has to listen to her. Remember that one time where I think they chased after a swimming something (forgot what it was), she acted like she was the captain and told them to not go after it when it was captain’s orders to go after it. Then she got mad when Robin was like “we have to listen to him bc he’s the captain”. We all know Luffy’s an idiot but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s the captain.
-------
Nami is a smart person who gets fustrated with her crew, she's weak and helpless at times, thus often has to rely on those stronger then her to do things. Thats not to say she is defenceless, but she has been fustrated and angry with her crew since pretty much day 1. Luffy is fine with it, and when it comes to navigation, yeah...Nami's used to taking control of that situation, so Nami *does* have some command on the vessel as even she supasses Luffy, Luffy's goal as captain is to make the overall crews definative choices "I think we should do this, go to that island, beat up this guy, etc" and Nami's role is to make sure they get there. She gets fustrated when Luffy asks them to do things that she is not confident in at all becuse of how reckless he is, while as a navigator her role is to keep the ship safe and the crew on board it likewise, meaning she has the opposite goal to Luffy.
Oh and also, she’s always beating someone up all the time (as in her fellow crew mates ), like keep your hands to yourself god!
--------
Its a runing gag by Oda and its because of her anger issues and they can at times not do the best things. The fact is, these tough male characters like Luffy and Zoro who get ridiculed all the time arebeing brought down by a single weak female who is putting them in their place. Thats basically the gag, and the fact is all of them COULD and DO have the means to stop her... But they don't. Zoro just has to threaten her with his swords and he could end it, but he doesn't. Their not bothered at all by her actions, even when she is beating them up,. The thing is if they DID anything to harm her she could easily walk and she's the best navigator they know. So a lot of it could be argued that their letting her beat them up on purpose to make sure she is happy. Not being able to fight Arlong was pretty much the situation in her previous crew before them. O.o
Nami drifts between the role Ussop fills of being "the normal person" and is written to be deliberately the only sane person on a crew of insane people, so to speak. As the crew gained more members after the East Blue, the crew basically diversified and the dynamic is now different. You have Robin and Jimbei also being "straight and serious" individuals. So Nami's role of "the only sane man" on the crew basically has been changed by the presence of others.
Shanks is definately next, but I also feel theres going to be a moment Luffy finally meets Dragon and the revolutionaries. Me's wonder if they want Luffy to team up with Shanks against BB, but otherwise... Blackbeard occupies Whitebeard's terroritory aka "the closest to One Piece". BB basically is ahead of Shanks in the grand line... He is not next.
The 2-year Time skip was the halfway mark of One Piece, so the story basically entered its second half then, and it was expected it would be just as long, if not longer back then.
This is nothing new, I've been here since 2001 in the fandom, 2002 on the wiki as I'm one of the founderws. To be honest I'll be sad when it ends because this has been my weekly manga read and the last manga I've been invested in since 2006 when I quit anime. But it has to end sometime, be it because Oda finally finished the story or he died leaving it unfinished or for someone else to finish.
The main issue I've had with the second half is the story arcs are getting longer, and Wano has been so silly long I got bored of it long ago and just want it to end. Its closet arc in the first half is the Water 7 storyline, or CP9 storyarc, forget what saga we call it. When the arcs go on for more then a year, I start getting fed up with them, because each story arc traditionally takes a year or just over and that to me is fine. One Piece is a story you can relax with and come back. I honestly hope there isn't too many arcs like this though going forward.
To be honest,.... I just think its a reference to Venice and things like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Kansai International airport, etc wherein artitect s buid something but they don't think it out entirely. All Water 7 needs is a soft clay soil base and the island sinks over time, as the wieght of the building push down upon it.
I think... The series merit is that its touched upon all sorts of villians and villians styles.
So some will live up to hype and others won't.
He is the main antagonist from the pirates sides until now ..
So by plot, it will make Teach stronger than him in the future, like u or not
-------
Not sure if he counts as a "antagonist", his not the mainc certainly his just the longest one since his been there since chapter 1 as a "end game" goal. But since then, things happen and his looking less "end game" and is more like "battle before endgame". I think whats basiclaly going to happen is yeah, BB will overtake him, but Luffy will gtet some lessons on Haki and become the new Haki master (I think Shanks is just there to get Luffy to raise his Haki to the highest it can go). And then BB will likely step in and trash Shanks' crew. I've been in the fandom for 20 years and for that time, most fans I've come across even back in the early 2000s predicted Shanks not surviving the storyline.
We though Mama was nothing after Hole Cake, and look what she is doin in Wano!
Old geezer is freakin monster
------
I think half the problem was in Whole Cake Island it was her terms. Now she is in Kaido's domain everything is on Kaido's terms. So it matter much more. She also doesn't have her family to really back her up so... She's basically in "total monster" mode.
Oda already said, WB was the strongest man, Kaido Strongest creature
So here, u have the writer sain: Those guys are stronger than Shanks
-----
Yep, everyone has agreed with this for years. At berst, as I said, Shanks likely has the strongest Haki, which is why BB likely has issues with him. Haki can beat DF powers, so having someone with a strong Haki means you've got to be confident to go against them as they won't fear your power so much. There is the theory that Shanks DOES have a DF but he either has one that has a way to counter some of the side effects.
(I've sen someone say "pause pause/Stop Stop DF", which would explain why he didn't sink in chapter fruit... He was but he was able to use his fruit to hinder the effect somehow, but I'm not going to argue over DF abilities here since I know "sea/water overides all powers", etc, this isn't a topic about if he has a DF power, though another old theory is he thought about eating the Gum Gum Fruit himself but Luffy got to it first).
And he said: Red Hair Pirates, the most balanced Crew! meaning that the pack makes the wolf, and the wolf makes the pack stronger
-------
Yep, power per crewmate balance. A lot of the issues with Big Mom I've seen is that her crew/family had a few really strong guys but too many weaklings. This has been seen several times in fact in the series. He likely has fewer, but overall stronger crew mates and less reliance on too many tactics that are one sided, like heavy DF reliance.
All that, doenst make Shanks weak..
And my opinion is that Yonkos are some way really near each other in therms of power
But u cant deny the fact that the Main Antagonist is goin to be the most troublesome character in the end, this is plot reasons not opinions ...
--------
Honeslty, I don't think it needs to be that their all equal 100%. If Kaido spent resources going after Shanks, then he'd leave himself open for Big Mom and BB to attack him. So he may be able to take one or two islands Shanks has, but he'd loose some to Big Mom and would be then forced to take them back, which would mean weaker focus on those islands that he just took from Shanks, giving Shanks the chance to fight back. Basically, its a giant tug of war with everything balanced out so that no one can move without loosing something in return. And thats without the Marines and former 7 Warlords into account.
Luffy right now is a problem becuase his putting strain on a set of terroritories which for years have been stalemate locked.
I hear what people are saying, the issue is a lot of secrets and mysteries are resolved with Shanks' presence in the storyline. And this means people have hyped him up. Shanks isn't even, nor ever was, the end game, since if Luffy couldn't beat him there was no chance of him being PK. The deal was "meet when your a powerful pirate". Luffy's almost there now.
If anything, things look like their setting up for at best Shanks being a alley against BB, and BB being the final bad guy before Luffy pulls ahead. However, I think the WG will be the ultimate show down, not even the pirates. Somethine at the end of the adventure will mean Luffy completes the Joy Boy proficency and now has to challenge the WG, or he will bring back something that changes the world and forces IX and the Elder Stars to react. So BB even then might be not the final thing.
At this stage of the game, a lot of Luffy's powers were stretching as a momentum reaction, he didn't show too much knowledge and adaptation of them. He almost always had to put thrust behind every punch.
To top it off, Luffy's not the sharpest tool in the shed and early one especially Oda played with that. Luffy was smarter then his Romance Dawn 2 incarnation, but not as smart as Romance Dawn 1. His battle smart but not logic smart.
There is the issue of Luffy looking nothing like his dad, though he looked more like Roger in his youth.
Oda also said that Luffy's mother, if I recall, wasn't going to be a pretty type, she'd be ruly. But this is a long time ago I'm quoting from and honestly, I wouldn't even know where to begin with that. Without confirmation, take this as a pinch of salt since its just hearsay.
I think half the problem is Oda can't draw women well so avoids them.
I think the claim Oda said mom's are the opposite of aventure does have some merit to it. From Oda's experience, he likely is thinking of mother's who won't let their sons go to war, etc. In short, I hate to say it as a woman, we do have a habit of shielding our kids when we care about them and we DO try and stop them taking huge risks that could get them killed. I see where his coming from if thats the case. Having a mother back home worried about her kids is a problematic situation.
From what I gather as well, Oda started out hearing of a lot of stories from WW2 from older people, since a lot of sons went to war and never came back. In Europe, this was the fear for WW2, because WW1 had changed the image of war so much from this glorious thing to do to a dark reality and often mothers DIDN'T want their songs to go out into WW2 because every knew at least 1 uncle, brother or even father who never came home. :-?
Based on what Kaido said recently, the D is related to something like the Return of the spirit of Joy Boy.
There was a theory a long time ago that the "D" was either a half a circle or a smilie "D" like ":D" or something, that its not basically a letter at all but since it looks like one its taken as one. And the issue is right now, the "D." right now means "D:" which is a face of woe. I actually forget the full details of this theory. I've seen so many theorys over the las t20 years that they range from "it means X word" to "its a symbol" to "its a mark", etc. The "D" does seem to be at least some ancient inherited will to me.
We only know they, the poneglyphs, the ancient kingdom, maybe the weapons and now Joy Boy are all related. Somehow. :-?
Oda may not even tell us.
Akainu is currently learning when Sengoku before him was as chilled overall, no one is really doing 100% what he asks.
Ace also didn't know his DF was weaker then his, as quoted early on in the storyline, you don't know how things will turn out when two DFs clash.
You often don't discover weaknesses until you meet your match face to face.
I think you'd have to argue this with like... 99% of the fandom who'd say "on your bike mate".
