A abertura começa com uma tomada das nuvens e do mar antes que ossos cruzados apareçam ao redor e se tornem sólidos. O narrador começa seu conto usual de Gold Roger enquanto os ossos cruzados desaparecem em um mapa da Red Line e da Grand Line. Cut to half a screen with the left side displaying some of the Return to Sabaody Arc and Fish-Man Island Arc characters and the right with a map that has the Sunny sailing the seas then fading to it sailing underwater. A young Gold Roger (wearing his Straw Hat) zooms across the screen fading to Shanks in his younger days then to the time when he had given Luffy his Straw Hat. Luffy then fades to his pre-timeskip self then his present day form. The screen wipes again to him running to the Sunny. On the last few verses it cuts to one of the Straw Hats with the word "One Piece" displaying on their body or in some other form and different backgrounds unique to them and they fading in front of the Sunny.

Special Edition[]
As the sun rises, Luffy sits on the figurehead of the Thousand Sunny. He runs into the bedrooms and grabs Chopper, who was asleep with Usopp and Franky; he sees Sanji and Robin eating breakfast as he places Chopper in a chair, runs outside to be given a tangerine by Nami, and jumps onto the deck with Zoro and Brook before jumping into the sky.
The Thousand Sunny sails underwater, next to various sea beasts and Surume. Luffy, Usopp, and Brook are seated in a giant fish and say hello to a group of mermaids. Pappag jumps into the screen; as he leaves, all of the Straw Hats are at a cafe with Camie, while Sanji has a nosebleed from two other mermaids flirting with him. Luffy then rides Megalo, who is carrying Shirahoshi inside his mouth. Hody Jones, having drugged himself, stands before Luffy, who activates Gear 2 and Armament Haki to punch Hody.
Most of the Straw Hats are seen dancing with various Fish-Man Island residents; Nami with Fukaboshi, Robin with Neptune, Fisher Tiger with a young Koala, Brook with Camie, Chopper with the Medaka Mermaid Quintuplets, Franky with Den, and Usopp with Shyarly. Zoro and Sanji angrily glare at each other before Shirahoshi swims in carrying Luffy. Shirahoshi, Luffy, and the Thousand Sunny lead the rest of the Straw Hats and a large group of merfolk and fish-men to swim upwards. Among the group are the Mermaid Cafe employees swimming with Shirahoshi, Otohime's ghost, the three Neptune Family princes, Hatchan with Camie and Pappag, and Jinbe with visions of the Sun Pirates. All of the Straw Hats smile as everybody reaches the surface,
and after emerging they all cheer with Shirahoshi.

Other Versions[]
Beginning with the tenth episode, the Special Edited Version has a new cover of We Go! every month.[2] They use the same lyrics as the Straw Hat Pirates TV Version.
At 72 episodes, this opening has lasted longer than any other thus far.
The song is a follow up to Kitadani's previous song, "We Are!", which was the very first One Piece opening song.
Episodes 522 and 523 both begin and end with this song, although it is played softly in the background in both instances when used at the end.
Like many other One Piece songs, this one has several puns, like "Ichi, ni, sunshine, yon... we go", Japanese for "one, two, sunshine, four... we go;" san is "three" in Japanese, the same sound of the first syllable of "sunshine," and go is "five" in Japanese.
Another pun is the reference to Weekly Shōnen Jump, the magazine in which the One Piece manga is serialized weekly. There is one line that says jyanpustaato, meaning "Jump Start". This makes reference to the fact that One Piece is one of the top manga in this magazine, and often considered as a Shonen Jump Star or Shonen Jump Hero.
This song was later reused as the theme song for One Piece: Gigant Battle! 2 New World.
The animation has Usopp's name spelled Usoppu, whereas in other openings, such as "Share the World", it is spelled Usopp. Likewise, other animated work such as the more recent One Piece Film: Strong World, uses the old and well-established form as well. Starting at Episode 522, Usopp's name regains its proper spelling.
Near the beginning of the song, a line reads "Break of Romance Dawn", a combination of the phrases "break of dawn" and "Romance Dawn", the latter being the name of the first chapter, the first volume of the manga, and a story written by Oda, considered the "prototype" for One Piece.
An instrumental version of this song was used as background music for each episode preview until Episode 891, where it was replaced by an instrumental of "OVER THE TOP" for the Wano Country Arc afterwards.
This is the first opening since "BON VOYAGE!" to begin with a narration.
The background on which every crew member is displayed at the end of the song also contains a tiling of an image of an item they are associated with, save for one tile which depicts something else that often refers to a (word) joke involving the character. This image is easily missed and considered an easter-egg by many fans.
Along with the crew being shown fighting in the adjusted opening since Episode 519, several other smaller, cosmetic changes were also made. During Roger's initial speech, he used to have a rather flat shading, where the change has added far more color and vibrancy to the picture. Later on, during the Straw Hat owners' sequence, young Roger's mouth used to be an open smile, whereas the changed version has his teeth pressed onto one another to mimic the smile that his older self has shown countless times throughout the series. Robin's flower easter egg image is also switched higher to be more visible. However, Usopp's romanized name is fixed starting at Episode 522. Since Episode 523, the Straw Hats' fighting scene was a bit revamped, with better quality and shading.
A flag similar to Franky's Toei Jolly Roger can be seen among the flags at the beginning.
In the Funimation Simulcast, there is a translation error. It says: "We won't left anyone behind" instead of saying: "We won't leave anyone behind".
When Luffy uses Gear Third, his arm inflates how it did prior to the timeskip (bone inflated consistently throughout his arm), rather than his new style after the timeskip (with the air focused around his fist).
