Blion and Girash first appeared in the promotional artwork for Uta no Uta: ONE PIECE FILM RED. They were included as one of the five possible collectible cards that came with the physical album, listed as the Animal Band (動物バンド^?), instead of their name written in full katakana.

  • Blion's name may be a reference to Brian May, the lead guitarist of Queen.
  • Girash's name may be a reference to Slash, the lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses, with whom he also shares visual elements such as a top hat and long hair.
