- Not to be confused with Atoli.
Atori is a young man who owns a bistro.[1]
Appearance[]
Atori is a young man with short hair. When he's working, he wears a plain white shirt and dark pants with an apron.
Due to trying to fight a group of pirates, Atori lost his leg, and now wears a prosthesis. The region around where the prosthesis meets his leg is covered in visible scars.
Personality[]
Atori is relatively easygoing. He doesn't dwell on what he can't change, and tries not to impose on others.
Abilities and Powers[]
Atori is knowledgeable enough about cooking and has enough business knowledge to run a successful bistro.
Swordsmanship[]
Atori is a somewhat skilled swordsman, and was considered the island's strongest fighter before he lost his leg. He was skilled enough to teach Hiwa basic swordsmanship forms.
History[]
Past[]
At some time in the past, Atori inherited his bistro from his grandfather, its founder.
Six months ago, a group of pirates attacked the island where Atori lives. They stole the door off his bistro because of a fancy design on it, and when he tried to fight back, cut off his leg. After they finished raiding the village, the pirates took up residence on the island. Around this time, Atori also began teaching basic swordsmanship to Hiwa.
During the Marines' annual check on the island, the residents, Atori included, asked them to capture the pirates. They were arrested for a few days, but ultimately let go, and later got their revenge on the villagers.
Eventually, the villagers stopped resisting to the pirates, and they came to a tacit understanding; as long as the villagers didn't fight back, the pirates would avoid excessive violence.
One Piece novel HEROINES[]
When the G-5 Marines had to make an emergency landing on the island, the villagers welcomed them in and offered assistance. Remembering their last experience with Marines, they voted not to tell them about the pirates.
After the Marines set up their camp, Atori's bistro was visited by Tashigi. While she had her meal, they discussed the pirates on the island, and Atori asked her not to intervene.
Sometime during the day, Atori noticed Hiwa and Tashigi training swordsmanship together.
That night, when Hiwa failed to return home, Atori visited Tashigi, assuming they were still together. However, Tashigi realized that Hiwa had attacked the pirates' hideout, and sent Atori to inform Smoker that she was going to rescue her.
