Doctor Bürst is a scientist, one of the leaders of Bürst Lab and the older brother of Misutta and Bonbon.^[1] He is the main antagonist of One Piece Premier Show 2015.^[1]

Appearance

Bürst is an average-sized man with long blond hair. He wears a black and yellow vest, baggy white pants, black boots, and a black and red cape. He has white and yellow armbands on both his arms.

Personality

Bürst is a very intelligent scientist, but also has problems controlling his anger. He is very proud of his profession, causing him to belittle pirates and Marines. However, his temper is so strong that he sometimes goes on rampages that can destroy entire islands with the help of his Devil Fruit power. Bürst is self-centered and inhumane toward others, as he was willing to use his brother's abilities to kidnap and brainwash Nami.

Bürst is very egotistical and manipulative. Ultimately, his goal is to conquer the world with the power of science, and he is willing to control and hurt others to achieve it.^[1]

Abilities and Powers

Bürst has been referred to as a "genius," although it is unknown how he gained recognition. It was also stated that he could possibly take over the world if it were not for his personality.^[1]

Devil Fruit

Main article: Nito Nito no Mi

Bürst ate the Nito Nito no Mi, a Paramecia-class Devil Fruit allows the user to gain the abilities of nitroglycerin.^[1]

History

Past

Bürst calculated that Nami was the scientifically most appropriate fiancee for him, and he went to Marriage Greenland with intentions to marry her.^[2] He sent his younger brothers to capture her for him.^[1]

One Piece Premier Show 2015

Bürst Tries to Marry Nami — Bürst tries to marry a brainwashed Nami.

After his brothers kidnapped Nami and the Straw Hat Pirates pursued them, Bürst attacked the crew with nitro bombs made with his Devil Fruit abilities.

The Straw Hat Pirates, Kin'emon, Bartolomeo, Cavendish, Jeet, and Abdullah devised a plan to save Nami, and during Bürst and Nami's wedding, Brook disguised himself as an officiator to ruin their vows. When the rest of the crew and their allies interrupted the wedding, Bürst became furious. He began rampaging and he took the form of a massive nitro dragon with his abilities. Sabo came to help the crew, and Bürst and his younger brothers were defeated by a combination of Luffy's Red Hawk and Sabo's Hiken.^[1]

One Piece Premier Show 2019

After his defeat, Bürst was sent to Impel Down. He later appears as a part of Balzac's Prisoner Unit.^[3]^[4]
