BStation is a streaming service operated by Shanghai-based video sharing website bilibili that distributes One Piece in Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The distribution of One Piece on BStation follows a partnership with Funimation in March 2019;[1] as such, the distribution of the main anime series is simply an international release of Funimation's existing subtitles. Additionally, Bilibili has acquired its own One Piece licenses, including for films and specials never licensed by Funimation.

Licenses[]

BStation began hosting One Piece on January 26, 2021, with the release of One Piece Film: Gold, which was soon followed by One Piece Film: Z on January 28. On August 22, 2021, it began hosting the anime series with Funimation's simulcast release of Episode 988. It maintained the simulcast release for Episode 989 on August 29, and added all backlog episodes three days later on September 1, 2021, along with many of the remaining movies and specials.

In addition to the main series licensed directly from Funimation, BStation has a collection of licenses translated in-house:

In addition to the English subtitles, all of BStation's licenses are additionally available with Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese subtitles.

Reception[]

Bilibili's distribution of anime is generally considered subpar, with inconsistent in-house translations and badly upscaled anime. Like other anime on BStation, this is typically the case for any One Piece media not licensed directly from Funimation. Bilibili's release sometimes includes bizarre translations, mistranslations, and typos, such as "Malinfando" (Marineford) and "Sapo" (Sabo); notably, this is most present in the summaries included under content, rather than in the subtitles themselves.
