Baterilla is an island in South Blue where Portgas D. Ace was born.[1]
History[]
It was said that Gol D. Roger was acting less like a pirate and more like a man in love while on the island and the World Government searched the island for any signs of his child. Portgas D. Rouge lived here and gave birth to the infant that she would name "Gol D. Ace" after sustaining him in her womb for twenty months to protect the child from the Marines and government officials. After giving birth to Ace, she died from the extended pregnancy.[1]
In a flashback of Ace's birth, it is shown to have palm trees and cabanas, much like a tropical island in the real world. Little else is known about this island.[2]
