When Jörmungandr suddenly appeared at the Walrus School, Blade rushed into the faculty room to alert the other teachers. His first concern was the evacuation of everyone inside the school. After Kiba noticed more monsters in the forest, Blade sounded a horn to alert the entire country.[1]

Like many other characters from Elbaph, his name may reference a popular wrestling practice called blading, as well as wrestler Jesse Guilmette, better known as The Blade.
