Short Summary[]
As CP0 makes their return, while Saturn has a meeting with the Vice Admirals to evaluate the results of their mission. York discovers the Cloud Machines are active, resulting in Punk Records being moved into the sky. At Mary Geoise, while the World Nobles are suffering from the food shortage, Garling is given Saturn's position in the Five Elders, while Saturn himself is killed by Imu as punishment for allowing Luffy's escape. The consciousness and parts of the three destroyed Satellites are placed into a new body for Edison, while Dragon recognizes the repercussions of Vegapunk's message and knows they have to make a move before the world starts fighting over land.
Long Summary[]
The Cipher Pol agents prepare to load up the Seraphim once they finish charging, but just as they are about to decide what to do with the Sea Beast Weapons and Pacifista, Lucci and Kaku return to their ship, but when one agent asks where Stussy is, Lucci says she was killed by him.
Elsewhere, Saturn tells the nine Vice Admirals that they were able to acquire everything they came to get at Egghead: York, Punk Records, and the power station, all of which will secure them access to the Mother Flame. However, despite the results, he feels they had a critical misstep. The Vice Admirals believe he is talking about letting Luffy and Bonney escape and request permission to chase them to Elbaf. Saturn, however, denies this, stating that the failure he was referring to was allowing Dr. Vegapunk’s message to play, not to mention the Iron Giant aiding in the pirate’s escape, which Saturn finds ironic. It turns out, roughly 200 years ago, it was Saturn himself who ordered the robot to be spared and studied for the sake of bulking their military might. Doberman speaks up and asks Saturn if what Dr. Vegapunk said in his message is true if he considers it a failure it was played, but Saturn injures Doberman in response, prompting all of the other Vice Admirals to clamor to find a medic. On Egghead, York realizes that the Cloud Plant will not stop producing clouds. Deducing this to be the work of Edison, she shoots at the factory from afar, but it is too late; the clouds have lifted Punk Records high into the air, far out of the reach of York and the World Government.
In Mary Geoise, the World Nobles are panicking over their dwindling food supply, not to mention they are outraged by Dr. Vegapunk’s message and Sakazuki’s inability to handle Kuma’s escape. As for the other Elders, they are surprised when Garling enters their room wearing a new outfit, similar to theirs. Garling tells them that he has been given new orders, which is revealed to be that he is now the new Warrior God of Science and Defense, and therefore, York will be answering to him. His words, however, worry the four of them.
Sure enough, on Egghead, Saturn falls to his knees in pain as a black substance starts flowing out of his body, while the Vice Admirals start panicking over what to do to help him. All they can do, though, is watch in horror as he starts shriveling. Saturn quickly realizes this is Imu’s doing, as they are angry he let “Joy Boy” escape. Saturn begs for Imu’s mercy, claiming the power of the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika was too unpredictable, but his pleas fall on deaf ears as a massive explosion comes from Saturn’s body, reducing him to a skeleton, to the shock of the Vice Admirals.
On Punk Records, Edison communicates with the rest of the destroyed Satellites, who survived their bodies' destructions and now inhabit Edison's body. Shaka and Atlas lament they could not bring the Fabriophase with them due to York’s meddling, while Pythagoras states that York can still upload what she learns to Punk Records from afar. However, doing it this way ensures they can keep it safe and ready for when the world can have access. They will have to be careful from here on out since everyone believes them to be dead, and they will not be able to build anything without resources, but they decide to leave that to their partners. By that point, the combined Vegapunk finishes assembling his new body, which combines parts of Edison, Shaka, Atlas, and Pythagoras, and they get in contact with Weatheria.
In the Kamabakka Kingdom, the Revolutionary Army discusses Dr. Vegapunk’s message. Sabo realizes that the reason why the first World Nobles chose to live atop the Red Line was because it is the highest point in the world, keeping them safe from the rising sea. Ivankov also realizes that Tequila Wolf, Vodka Wolf, Rum Wolf, and Bourbon Wolf were created for the same reason. As for Dragon, he says that people who heard Dr. Vegapunk’s message will act out of self-interest and not out of peace, and therefore, they need to win before people start fighting each other over land.
