Short Summary[]
Luffy's group leaves the Aurust Castle. He and Zoro go to Elbaph's Underworld to free Loki, while everyone else returns to the Western Village. Sanji and the New Giant Warrior Pirates arrive to try and stop Luffy and Zoro, but they are too late as Loki stands up from being partially released.
Long Summary[]
As the group leaves the castle, Nami complains that she was unable to find any treasure, which was the whole reason she joined in the first place. Road tries to get her not to say such statements around the injured guards as he tries to convince them that nothing has occurred. Elsewhere, Franky continues his tour of the Treasure Tree Adam with Ripley, where she explains to him that they live on the tree's enormous branches. They come across a severed branch and Ripley explains there once was a village called Haugen on that branch, and it was destroyed when a bolt of lightning struck the branch and it caught fire, and since it was so old, the fire would not stop, causing the rest of the Giants to cut it down to prevent it from spreading. Franky is surprised to learn such a strong tree can get old and weak, with Ripley saying Elbaph's main weak points are fire and lightning.
Back at the feast, a now befuddled Usopp asks Nami where she has been and where Luffy and Zoro are now, and she simply answers they are exploring. Usopp introduces Nami to Jarul, who calls her a beauty, and Usopp asks him what his type of woman is. Jarul tells Usopp that he likes older women, but Usopp hits the sword in his head claiming that such a woman does not exist, because he is the oldest giant in the world. Dorry scolds Usopp for hitting Jarul like that, but Usopp drunkenly claims he is brave enough to remove it, with Brogy saying that if he does Jarul, will most likely die from blood loss. Nami comments on how drunk Usopp has got, saying that he had been wanting to go to Elbaph for a long time, and now he finally accomplished that task, which is why he is partying so hard.
Sanji then notices that Gerd is absent, as it is shown that Road brought the injured guards to her for treatment. Gerd asks Road to explain what happened to them, but Road claims he simply went to the castle to get some inspiration for his block set when he saw the damage. Gerd suggests they wake up the guards to they can find out who attacked them, but Road nervously asks her to let them rest. Gerd then says they should consult with Jarul, but Road says that would be a bad idea, as bringing unconfirmed fears during a feast would ruin the mood. It turns out the reason why Road is so worried about Gerd finding out the truth is because he does not want to be treated as an accomplice to Luffy setting Loki free, even though deep down he wishes Loki would leave Elbaph and never return. The knowledge of the Shanks "look-a-like" does concern him though, but Gerd then attacks him as she demands he tell her the whole truth.
Down the Underworld, Luffy and Zoro see the beaten up animals and Loki, which concerns them. Luffy asks Loki to tell him what happened as he tries to unlock his chains, reasoning that with him so hurt, he would not be able to do any damage. However, because the chains are made of Seastone, Luffy quickly loses his strength. Zoro tells Luffy they should not set him free yet, as he is still suspicious of him, based on all the bad rumors about him and if he does start rampaging, it will spell trouble for Elbaph. However, Luffy wants to get him treated for his wounds. Zoro proceeds to kick Loki's wounds, which causes him to scream in pain, confirming to Zoro that Loki is not putting on an act, to the Giant's annoyance.
Zoro agrees to help unlock him, but he suggests they leave one shackle attached to him so he cannot use his Devil Fruit powers, and if he wakes up, then they can get answers. Luffy decides to go get Chopper, but Zoro tells him he would be too far away, so their best bet would be to have Gerd treat him. However, if they find out they set Loki free, they might get banished from the country, but Luffy says he will accept that fate as long as Loki is okay. Luffy says he should at least get him some meat to regain his strength, but Zoro points out all the injured animals and suggests they eat them, but Luffy angrily tells him that they are his friends and he will hunt somewhere else in the mountains.
Just as Luffy runs off to get a doctor, he sees all of the New Giant Warrior Pirates, with Sanji accompanying them, falling down from the sky, as Gerd got the truth out of Road and informed Hajrudin. Unfortunately, because the Svarr they are using is unable to function properly due to the Underworld's different climate, everyone starts falling to their deaths. Luffy manages to save everyone using Gomu Gomu no Fusen, though they still get hurt after being launched off of him. Hajrudin then begs Luffy not to free Loki, calling him an untrustworthy and cruel man who tricks others by playing the sympathy card. Sadly, they came too late as Loki's chains were removed and he surprisingly stands up despite his injuries, as Hajrudin begs him to let go of his weapon, Ragnir.
