When the Usopp and a member of the Rosy Life Riders visited the Coffee Monkeys, the leader was drunk and annoyed that the giant he turned in was not the main attraction. He continued to drink but still told Usopp that Peterman and the Hound Pets were the kidnappers who took Camie to the Auction House. After the Battle of Marineford, the Coffee Monkeys tried to steal the Thousand Sunny from the Rosy Life Riders. They wanted the ship because it belonged to Monkey D. However, Duval refused, kicking the Monkeys to the ground and proclaiming his will to protect his friends' ship.[2]
