The DX Marines are an independent justice-enforcing organization started and led by Commander-in-Chief and former Marine Smash.

They are the antagonist group in One Piece Premier Show 2014, having taken over Madatascar Island.

The organization's current status is unknown, as Smash was arrested and imprisoned in Impel Down.

Overview

The DX Marines were created by Smash on the belief of "absolute justice". Smash created the organization after he felt the Marines' justice was wavering.

The organization's name, "DX", is short for "Deluxe".

Organization

Ranks

Despite being an offshoot organization from the Marines, the DX Marines' ranking system is completely different, more closely resembling authoritarianism.

The highest rank, held by Smash, is Commander-in-Chief (総司令, Sō shirei^?), which holds power of the rest of the organization and the territories it occupies.

The second-highest rank, held by Bildy, is Chief of Staff (参謀, Sanbō^?), which has authority over the organization's lesser members and the Seven Generals.

Seven Generals

Courtesy of Bildy's abilities, the DX Marines created a group called the Seven Generals (七将軍, Nana Shōgun^?). The Generals are comprised of lesser members of the organization who have been transformed into well-known figures. Their ranks include fake versions of Hody Jones, Crocodile, Rob Lucci, Eustass Kid, Buggy, Galdino, and Boa Hancock. Due the nature of these transformations, the members who have taken these forms have the same strength and abilities as their real counterparts, greatly bolstering the power of the organization.

History

Past

When Smash defected from the Marines, he and Bildy formed the DX Marines to enforce their own absolute justice. Bildy created the Seven Generals, and the organization took over Madatascar Island. They issued a ban on all fireworks on the island and demanded absolute obedience from all citizens.

One Piece Premier Show 2014

When the Straw Hat Pirates arrived on Madatascar Island, the DX Marines sent their fake version of Crocodile to attack them with a sandstorm, causing Luffy to get separated from his crew. The fake version of Hancock appeared before the crew and petrified Sanji. After Luffy reunited with his crew, Smash and Bildy fought him while the Seven Generals fought the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates. The pair called in a fake version of Law to confuse the crew, and Bildy revealed his powers and how he made his Seven Generals. After Caesar Clown appeared, Bildy made a fake version of Oars. The rest of the Generals were defeated one-by-one by the crew, and Smash was defeated by Luffy when struck by Gomu Gomu no Grizzly Magnum. The DX Marines lost control of Madatascar Island, and its citizens were allowed to shoot off fireworks once again.

One Piece Premier Show 2019

Smash was arrested by the Marines for his transgressions and locked up in Impel Down. It is unknown what became of Bildy or the organization following his imprisonment.

Smash became part of Balzac's Prisoner Unit and fought with him and other prisoners against the Straw Hat Pirates, only to be defeated again.

Trivia

• The DX Marines are similar to the Neo Marines, as they are both offshoot organizations of the actual Marines that were started by former members in the belief that they were not doing enough to fight pirates.
